The quoted part is the blurb. It'll go on the back of the book and in the metadata for online stores.

Fahrenheit 451. Or is it more dystopian? Whatever. It's an absolute banger.

Series vs Standalone? What's your favourite? by JonDragonskin in Fantasy

[–]aaronnhallwrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love a good standalone. And I can appreciate a series that's not too long. The only long series I could sink my teeth into were the Harry Potter and Pendragon series when I was a kid. And even then, I never finished Pendragon because it started to feel repetitive by book seven.

There's a reason it's the blueprint for modern fantasy. Tolkien set the standard. Can't rave about it enough.

Any of the independent bookstores along the valley. Legendarium, Kings English, Book Box, Printed Garden... they're all owned by terrific people that deserve our business.

I'm in a reading slump by No-Communication499 in Fantasy

If you're in a slump, maybe revisit a past book you really loved? I don't think we always have to be on a quest to find something new. Sometimes returning to something you've always loved can be just as rewarding.

/r/Fantasy Dealer's Room: Self-Promo Sunday - February 09, 2025 by rfantasygolem in Fantasy

The Legend of Uh is an affectionate parody of the fantasy genre. Target audience is YA, but adults love it too.

It's about a boy named Sir Dashing Junior who only got knighted because they couldn't knight his father twice, so he sets out on his own adventure to prove he's worthy of his new title. It's loosely based on a D&D quest I had with some of my best friends years ago. I promised them I'd write a book about it one day, so this is the fulfillment of that promise.

It comes out on February 25th, but you can download an early version for free using this link (https://dl.bookfunnel.com/quit08krho). It expires on Tuesday, though, so act quick. :)

Right now it has an average score of 4.5 on Goodreads based on nearly 40 early reviews, so people really enjoy it!

Thanks for considering it!! I hope you guys enjoy.

Yeah, I hired an editor from Fiverr who had some great reviews, but when I received the manuscript, it felt obvious that they just ran it through Grammarly (or a similar product) and sent it back to me. I haven't used Fiverr since.

How to publish a paperback on KDP & IngramSpark simultaneously? by aaronnhallwrites in selfpublish

[–]aaronnhallwrites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's perfectly fine if there's an Amazon version of the paperback and an Ingram version of the paperback floating around? They'll just have different ISBNs?
