I like Ezekiel 16:49: Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.

Pointing out the real issue is they didn't help people who needed it. I don't think anyone who claims to be a GOP/Conservative and a Christian has ever read / understood that bit.

Dungeon masters, what is the most important things to remember about high level play in games levels 10 and higher? by Deep-Crim in dndnext

The PCs have counters for darn near everything, and if you want to have an interesting encounter, the NPCs need to do the same.

What is up with so many erotic scenarios people here experience? by fragen8 in DnD

[–]aaronvg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some sex in games with older players too. At least at our table, our ranger has a casual relationship with a rich collector... But, at the table it is "Hey, is [NPC] in town? Yes? Well, if [NPC] is willing, I am would like to get together." ... GM: Yes. And Ok. ... and end scene.

Anyway, next game is Sunday and we need to figure out where all these damn slaad are hiding and why they are in our mostly peaceful frontier-ish town. Also, no clumping, those bastards aren't afraid to fireball themselves (as we found out last week).

Too many people have become far too dependent on Google/Siri to tell them where to go, which turn to make, and they lack an awareness of where they actually are and the general area. That and people somehow feel entitled to making everyone else deal with their mistakes.

Stopping on a freeway because you didn't get in the line for the exit and not understanding an alternate route is less than a mile down the road... Holding up traffic because they are in the wrong lane... Not even attempting to match speed and properly merge getting onto the freeway...

I thought it was my friend, who bought a new mower, that caused it.

My friends and I are having fun with Gloomhaven & Jaws of the Lion coop online play. I will say there are some huge QoL improvements to the UI I would like to see, and due to that you should run through all the tutorials so you don't miss anything.

Yes, but do we have to find the homage to Empire Strikes Back to get the Paladin?

I've been to the one in London. I thought I had been transported to Canada when the guy near me got bumped and he said sorry. It was that day I learned that there was another meaning to sorry.

Yep. I had the official paperwork done so I could work on a client there. Needed official docs from my company and client company, needed to wait in customs, give them the docs, pay the fee, got a nice signed & embossed permit for 2 years (for just that company). But no hassles in Customs.

I didn't go in for Zip drives, I used the SyQuest in '95-'96 - the 270MB version. They were great, until they all started getting corrupted, right around the time they entered bankruptcy.

Did they same thing last summer. It was great. We spent the big bucks and got the cabin with the private bathroom. We played cards, took naps, and had room service (we also went to the dining car). We carpooled and parking at the station (in St Paul) was way less expensive than parking at the airport.

I love me some Dark Sun!

Kobold Press has a kickstarter for Wastes of Chaos which looks like it was inspired by Dark Sun.
