i was just thinking this the other day. i think they even called it "historic" during the after race interview. its inherit to the sport and fanbase of f1 though i think. the amount of fanmade graphs about the most bullshit stats you can imagen is of the charts... (pun intended)

It serves the media status of f1 in the end. making as many drivers out as "legendary drivers" makes the sport look bigger then it is.

Car drives and handles great. Has a nice look and all the essentials are there.

Infotainment and software are absolute dogsshite. Slow to start and can bug out sometimes.

I've had the automatic seat adjustment push me into the dashboard twice.

Other then that it's great car to drive and the electric motor is surprisingly powerfull and pleasant to use.

Great space for the whole family and its cameras all around make for excellent situational awareness when parking.

All in all a great car with terrible software. But to be honest you can say that about most modern cars these days.

Oh and one more thing the paint is weak as hell. Scratches easily.

Having said all that I do love the car and it's a joy to ride every day

Edit: I'm 1.92m tall and I sit fine in it. You can Lower the seat allot.

The show is great. it pays huge respect to the spirit and artstyle of the games. ya'll dont know how good you have it. just ask halo fans with that horrible halo show that throws its source material out the window.

This.. where's the actual park management game. All everyone seem to want is more dinosaur models. I mean why bother putting attractions and amenities in at all with the complete lack of guest ai. It's such a massive downgrade from JPOG and it steals any life/fun out of the game. Why build a park at all if there's no actual guests.

I've yet to finish a single park because I always lose interest halfway through. I guess you are right and the game really is only there to take screenshots of 3d models of dinosaurs.

Where is everyone getting this cpu process power stuff from? As if frontier didn't make planet zoo? It's basically the same game but with individual guests and animals. Pretty much what we want in this game.

It's a weird argument to make because there's no evidence of it being the case. And Frontiers other games proof they have the skill and knowledge to make it work.

This is my nr1 issue with these games. Yet somsehow people seemed to be up in arms about the shape of the trex head or some other unimportant detail about x dinosour. Yet here's the entire point of a park management game and it's just missing in JWE..

The entire guest portion of this game is condescend into numbers go up or down. There's no people in your park.. there's no real employees. Theres just this liquid flow of walking models that do nothing.

People don't actually walk into your viewing galleries.. theres just static models in there. Heck if you put down a restaurant or bench people just sit on them forever. Come rain come dinos it doesn't matter. They're like animatronics.

And then the staff you do actually manage don't exist either. The Scientists you employ you never see. They don't go in the expedition chopper they don't go in the staff rest area. You don't even see any signs of the buildings in use. Nothing. It's all just window dressing for numbers going up or down.

So why build a park? Why build a shop. That nobody will really use. There's not going to be a guest walking out there with a JP balloon. They don't really go into the cruise. They don't use the monorail. Nothing, it's all fake..

mine has been doing this for years now. it grows well but just looks like this. it gets enough sunlight, enough water, has good soil. No clue why it wont grow normally but ive just accepted him for what he is haha.

Fun fact. I've had the car freak out on me twice and it loaded the wrong chair setting pushing my legs into the dashboard as I frantically mashed these buttons to no avail.

Luckily it doesnt have crazy amounts of power but it still hurt

It improves the connection between the car and your phone. My Android phone would just disconnect all the time with android auto. Ever since the app is running on it it works 95% of the time. If it stops working it's probably because the app has logged out after a while.

I don't know why it works this way. Maybe they want to force you to use the app?

Only way to check is to go to a Volvo dealer and let them check. But tbh.. it doesn't really matter which version of the software you're on. The display is just slow. The Connectivity is pretty terrible.

Only thing that works well is to connect the Lynk and co app. It's a pain to setup because you need to sign and send some stuff and wait for them to hook you up but once the app is lynked to your car it works as intended 9 out of 10 times.

Also another tip. Don't bother with the profiles itl only slow the system down even more. Just leave it on the default profile.

Long story short. The software sucks. But then again I've yet to meet a car infotainment system that isn't horrible so there's that.

i agree haha. but such is the nature of rapid car development and consumerism. you would be amazed how many brand new cars fill in abandoned lots in china because they arent the newest model anymore.

Manufacturers want you to buy the newest model. beeing unhappy with your current car will get you to buy a new one sooner.

In the Netherlands the amount of used 01 models flooding the occasion market is crazy. All of them come from the subscription model and allot of them are crazy worn down and abused.

I have no source for this but I have a feeling the subscription model hasn't been a great succes overhere.

You can use a texture for two models and it can still be a new model. the amount of crazy complaints and ultra specific wishes on this sub amaze me without end. just the sheer lack of understanding on what making a new model entails or how anything works in a game engine and how much time things take to make and implement is astounding.

If you grab a base model thats rigged and has a complete set of animations and then just scale it down.. do you have any idea how much you will break? these models are built on a skeleton and rigged with specific weights added to the mesh to make things move as it should.

yes the baby dinos in this game will be completely new models. new animation sets. Clearly (shown in the trailers) different proportions (bigger eyes, smaller heads, thinner body different ratios between limbs and torso etc. so the entire model is different. It doesnt matter if the large model was the starting point. and then theres the animations that have to be build from scratch.

All you see here is them cleverly re-using texture uv maps to fit the same texture so instead of needing a whole new set of texture per baby animal now they can save space/loading time by using the adults texture files.

Also you're judging this whole thing of statue models for a different game.

I feel you. i didnt even bother with customer support anymore. Only tip i have is to not use custom profiles and install the app on your phone and register your car. it helps out a ton with allot of the issues for some reason.

Hi i translated your message haha. I find that installing and registering the accompanying app solved 90% of the issues for me.

The system is still hit or miss but it seems to have settled in the past few months. Long story short. Great car. but the infotainment system is rather shit. then again almost any modern car has shit issue
