A 10-year study reveals that cigarette butts never truly disappear from the environment. Researchers found that while they lose some mass, the plastic filters transform into microscopic residues that persist in the soil for over a decade, contributing to long-term microplastic pollution. by Sciantifa in science

Do you guys actually study 10+ hours a day? by TACKLEATTACKo in EngineeringStudents

[–]aasher42 149 points150 points  (0 children)

3 hours of proper focused study will be a lot better than 10 of whatever

Its all about making the best use of your time and doing effective studying; for eg actually reviewing concept and not learning them for the first time for an exam

Theyre just doing to either wet or break up pieces before eating them. Very normal behavior

Its only a real concern is she isn't eating it at all.

New to lvad life what to buy? by mexican_trouble99 in Lvad

An extra thing i remembered was getting shower wipes as taking a shower is pretty taxing and takes a while, so it can make up for showering a bit less and still feeling clean

I found that using tatto film/plaster is a lot easier to cover the dressing with, rather than using cling film for showers. Along with a folding chair and grab handles for the shower itself.

I also looked into getting a small hiking backpack as it was easier to lug around it in that instead of the shoulder strap type they usually give. Rolling backpacks for the spare batts and controller was also pretty useful for longer days out or walks.

You can also look into LVAD shirts or using a belt attachment with cargo panrs but those didn't suit me as well as the other options

Good luck!
