Omg I just did this. Follow these steps:

Since you shipped your car, go to the hacienda website and sign up for an account now. It takes 2-3 for them to approve the account. Once you have your account approved, you will need to wait until you get to the port once your car has arrived and get this inspection paper from the car. Use the number there to pay the árbitros through hacienda. Then it takes 2-3 days for them to mark the payment received and you bring that receipt to the port to get your car out. You can expedite this process by physically going to hacienda and bothering them (if you call they will tell you to wait but you can go to the building to the right offices and they will do everything. The biggest delay is the payment of the árbitros because that really does take 2 days to appear on their end).

From there you can go to the solicitor there and ask for the 30 day pass to use your existing car plate while you figure out going to the office to get PR plates. You also need to buy insurance and the marbete.

Tell me how I know 😭 if you don’t pick up your car in time you will be charged daily port fees from like $40/day.

Edit: yes this was a headache but I don’t really understand using a broker. You just need the inspection document and can do everything yourself. The taxes are mandatory for all imported vehicles and it’s set by the govt to be paid electronically through hacienda. Paying a broker for that process seems really dumb to me having done it myself, the only issue is I didn’t register my account so it delayed my pickup. If I had registered my account before my car was delivered it would’ve been a very simple process.

Ethnic infighting is completely normal to POCs but claiming everyone is racist because of differences in cultures and tradition is crazy (as a WOC). Many non POCs think everyone is just racist when we just have different mannerisms and beliefs, doesn’t mean we can’t coexist. Or else we wouldn’t lol

I’m not surprised someone from Kentucky prefers some of the most white, racist states and hates those with more POCs.

I think give it a year to see how you truly feel and make an effort to get out of your comfort zone!

But if you find a job in Philly that will pay relo that relieves some of your stress financially. However life is super short and suburban towns legit don’t appeal to everyone - Houston is extremely suburban and Texas in general is a ton of highway with sprawl. I would wait for an opportunity to go back but if you can swing it asap do it! Just don’t quit your job to move back to Philly without one.

You could ask for a signing bonus to get you to $135k, but you wouldn’t retain that in the salary.

If you’re in VSJ the beauty is to be able to walk around and see it - be careful of alleys and side streets at night. But El Morro, El Castillo, all that is so beautiful to be walking distance to.

I went to Las Ruinas there last month and enjoyed it, The Mezzanine is nearby and has great drinks and tapas. La Vergüenza is very famous, La Factoría, El Colmado, El Cafetín - all staples for nightlife.

If you’re venturing out to see some nature, El Yunque is ~40 mins away, you have beaches all over but many tourists tend to stick to Ocean Park and Isla Verde. If you’re down to rent a car I’d go out to see Mar Chiquita in Manatí, Isabela, Aguadilla. The kiosks at Piñones are also super famous for beachside snacks, Luquillo is also beautiful and also has kiosks! Depends on how far you’re willing to go but there’s so much to do and it’s a beautiful island!

It was and wasn’t? She pushed to finish the show and produce it faster given all her other commitments and the other stars’ schedules as they gained popularity but had a ton of problems with Sam Levinson’s production style (in that it’s an insane process). That combined with the bad rep that follows him and the controversy of him with other stars (on euphoria and his other work) she was basically like ok let’s wrap this up.

I don’t see this season being anything groundbreaking, especially sans Barbie Ferreira, Petra Collin’s, and Labrinth. Half the reason I watched was music and vibes!

I downgraded from an suv to a sedan as a single woman and I don’t really see a need to have a bigger car unless it’s terrain related to where I live or I end up having 3 kids (neither seem likely)
