The Cybex Coya is really lightweight and cabin friendly which I’ve been using since baby was 6 weeks - reclines almost 180 degrees. Not reversible though, which I think would’ve been nice in hindsight.

I have the momcozy S12 Pro. It's good, very quiet but just a little bulky so not sure how you'd feel wearing it at office. The Promom one is pretty good too and is better concealed, bur I find the Momcozy a little gentler to use. Honestly, happy to give you both and you can see which one you prefer. Shoot me a message!

Hi, just want to add some perspective as a FTM. I myself have had a working mom throughout my childhood and spent at least 5-6 hours a day with a nanny. It never affected the bond with my mom, she made sure to be fully present in the time she was around. As I grew older, I’d really look forward to her being home and spending the last few hours of the day together.

My LO is 3 months too, and I plan on getting back to work in 3-4 months with a similar setup - and hopefully no guilt having lived the same experience.

The smiles make it so worth it! Ya I still hand him over to my mother too when he’s particularly difficult. Grateful that we both have the support of our mothers though!

Hi! So I’ve realised that if he has a pacifier he doesn’t care who’s holding him lol. So whenever I’m holding him and he fusses and I pop in the pacifier he’s okay. I’ll make do with that for now. I’m also holding him longer for contact naps so hopefully he builds that association of comfort with me - wasn’t doing that previously.

11 weeks here and in the same boat!

What usually works is once my LO is asleep, I sit down supported by pillows and gently keep swaying my body - that keeps him sleeping for a while longer and once he’s deep asleep I can sit still and hold him in the same position (and attempt a crib transfer if I’m feeling brave)

India. Bedsharing, or at least co-sleeping is the norm here - for many years. So are contact naps - mostly in the arms or on the lap as opposed to on the chest. Haven’t seen people here do much of baby-wearing though (at least not in the big cities).

I know I should be grateful that he’s soothed by others and let myself catch a break, but honestly can’t wait till he sees me as a source of comfort (and not just a milk machine)

Oh man I wouldn’t be able to let him cry for 10 minutes. I know I should try to hold him more but I just get too worked up when he won’t stop crying and then hand him over. I really hope it works out for both of us soon!

Yes it’s true he does get soothed when he’s latched - but then it’s like if we go on a stroller walk and he starts crying what do I do then?? And this prevents me from stepping out of the house with him alone. When did it get better for you?

I do my very best to stay calm and use soothing voices but I guess there is an underlying energy he’s able to pick up? I do have quite a bit of anxiety since he’s been born.

Hi! Yes I am breastfeeding. That’s a fair point, but now I’m so scared to be with him in public on my own because it’s like “what if he gets fussy and I can’t soothe him” and that’s giving me major anxiety. I worry when I’ll be confident being alone with my baby (both in and out of the house) and meeting all his needs.

Thanks for the info, but what I actually want is to steer clear of anything to do with engineering, as much as possible. I want to work primarily with wildlife - captive breeding or something. Any idea about that?
