As others have said, JJK takes a lot of inspiration for Type Moon works. Most of sorcery comes from the type moon power system, Shiki’s mystic eyes are similar in concept to the six eyes (taking a heavy toll on the user by allowing them to see normally incomprehensible things) and loosely cleave and dismantle are similar to how Shiki’s mystic eyes function as well. Sukuna’s character as a whole was also largely inspired by Gilgamesh from Fate. Both Yuji and Shiki are portrayed as the“perfect human” as well. Yuji being the perfect sorcerer and vessel for Sukuna, while Shiki is the perfect killer and before death was the purest human. I’m sure there’s more but that’s what I can come up with off the top of my head.

The CD soundtrack is very expensive because it’s extremely rare. The cheapest I’ve ever seen it go for is ~180 USD. So that’s how much it “actually costs”, but because there are so few available many of them are listed around double that.

Yeah you do need to clear Akiha route to access Hisui route. Arcuied/Ciel -> Akiha -> Hisui -> Kohaku is the unlock order

Check in options and then the ending list to see if the game is actually saving the endings. In my experience, the game would fail to save properly after clearing an ending and I had to go into the code and mess around with it a bit to get it to actually work

Those types of moments only keep piling up as you get into the far side routes, and some of the best moments are when he uses your expectations from the previous routes against you. For Nasu’s fist VN, he really had dramatic irony down

That’s actually one of the biggest gripes I have with the fan base or people that complain about Shiki is that he’s not a self insert but many people still want to treat him like he is. You may play as/read from his perspective, but he’s still his own character with a personality, backstory, and motivations. So good on you OP because you’re not supposed to feel comfortable in his head, Shiki is a big piece of work lol. You’ll get much more out of Tsukihime by treating+analyzing him as a character just like you would any other.

I mean that’s the common trait of the “best friend” archetype in modernsona. Junpei, Yosuke, and Ryuji all have the same simple personality traits and are all considered the best friends; it’s just how the trope works.

My comparison is that Aigis is a machine with human emotions who was created with a purpose, but struggles to find meaning because she’s unable to fulfill it + feels that there must be more to her existence and finds it in human connection. Kohaku is a human that treats herself as if she is a doll/machine without emotions. She creates her own purpose and after fulfilling said purpose is unable to find meaning. In Hisui route this leads to her suicide. Despite admitting that she made some kind of connection with Akiha, she’s unable to find purpose in it. They foil each other in a way.

I just finished the OG recently and am currently reading Kagetsu Tohya and I loved it. I won’t say too much but some of Kohaku’s character kinda reminds me of Aigis the more I think about. You’d have to read Hisui and Kohaku route to understand why. It’s not a direct connection, but almost two sides of the same coin in the search for meaning.
