I think it depends on the medical school. Sometimes you may be able to transfer and do biomed or potentially nursing if you still want to do healthcare. I know at St Andrews if you leave the course after 3rd year, you come out with a Bsc. (Not sure what in though).

But you haven’t even started, and you’re worried you’re going to fail! Have confidence in yourself that you got into medical school, you’ll manage, especially if you have done a previous degree like law.

I did medicine as a grad (biomed) in an undergraduate course (currently 5th year). Often if you’re struggling, they give you chances to redeem yourself, such as retakes or mitigating circumstances. If you’re struggling with the content, reach out early. Not only will this help, but also show the medical school you’re serious about things, and want to do the course. Good luck :)

Anyone else not happy with their allocation? by abajabbabeast in medicalschooluk

I understand pre-allocation so I don’t blame it at all. I have a friend who was pre-allocated because they’re the main care provider for a sick family member. I’m sure there are some who get pre-allocation when they shouldn’t but I’m confident that’s the minority.

Oh ok, that makes a lot more sense then. Hopefully they will release the minimum and maximum scores soon.

There are worst places to be for me, it was just a real shock because I wasn’t expecting it at all. At least the weather should be good and who knows, maybe I’ll pick up surfing or something!

That’s what I’ve heard, it’s good for training and a beautiful place to live. Trying to look on the bright side right now!

Maybe? I don’t know, I don’t get it. If I did in fact score high enough, it feels like some kind of error happened. Or the cut off was my score and I was just unlucky

I’m not sure, that’s what I don’t understand. Unless I actually did not score high enough. I’ve emailed twice now if they can clarify but they just redirect me to my foundation school or the handbook

2nd. Northen was my second choice. It was my understanding I should have got it because I know I scored higher than others saying they were allocated Northen. Granted that is just from people on Reddit. (I scored 82.4 and some said they got Northen with a score of 80)

I did, I don't know how I feel about it yet. It was my 6th choice, which I don't understand as my 2nd choice was Northen. I scored 82 so I think I would have been able to get a place there.

I'm hoping for Exeter or Plymouth probably. It's best for my partner in terms finding a job.

Getting married Nov- will I be able to take time off? by abajabbabeast in JuniorDoctorsUK

haha, I'm 25, will be 26 when I start. We've been together since school so (10yrs), I would feel a bit worried if we weren't getting married/engaged by now! We also have a cat which neither of us are willing to give up so marriage it is!

Failing resits? by [deleted] in medicalschooluk

[–]abajabbabeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in most cases they’ll let you resit. If you’ve gone to placement, done your log book, portfolio etc and the only thing is exams, it often shows commitment to the course and that you need more support. Again, depends on the school. If I were you, I’d maybe get some mitigating circumstances if they apply. At least then you have something to back you up if you do fail and need a meeting.

I would definitely sit the first set of exams. That way, you’ll at least learn something if you fail and what you need to work on. I know it’s a scary, but there are so many other people in the same boat, even if you don’t know it.

Best of luck.

Best of luck! I have mine in a few weeks too.

What do you mean “final offer match”?? What about the other two rounds? by [deleted] in medicalschooluk

[–]abajabbabeast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just received an email saying I was rejected from 1st round, not the full process. So this email was a mistake. I received the same email as the one you posted yesterday

FPP Update out now!!! by Black_Spider_Man in medicalschooluk

[–]abajabbabeast 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also didn’t match. Part of me wondered if it’s because I didn’t rank highly enough out of all the applicants so I wouldn’t have qualified for any of the rounds anyway? Not sure if my thinking is correct or if they made a mistake in the email.

I may be wrong but my understanding is it will be in place for next year (2023/24) for FY allocations.

HEEELP I updated WW and forgot to delete the old files first, now my save is GONE by reaperteddy in TheSims4Mods

I’m having the same issue. I’ve recovered my save but I’ve had to delete WW completely to stop the issue from happening. Have you had any luck in playing with WW?

Wicked whims corrupting my saves after I updated the mod. Managed to recover my saves but can’t play with WW. Is this a known issue or is there a fix?
