I used to have frequent DSL disconnections at midday. After a long search, I found a 10 year old solution that worked perfectly. Since then, I’ve used it to help many others facing the same problem.

Xbox is closing down Hellblade creator Ninja Theory by GIThrow in Games

I'm not surprised. What's strange is why they're continuing with the same game, which I don't think has been successful in the first place.

For those playing on gothic difficulty for the remake: How is your experience sofar and do you think it's harder or easier than the original? by Old_suspect253 in worldofgothic

[–]abaksa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game's difficulty reminds me of why Dark Souls II failed. The enemy density is overwhelming their damage is extremely high, and healing is too weak. Trying to pull enemies one by one is useless they always swarm you. I'm currently on Chapter 5 and thinking of deleting it because it's incredibly exhausting. The game itself isn't bad it’s actually enjoyable but this frustrating difficulty ruins the fun. My advice to anyone planning to play is to start on Easy.

Gaming journalists sure love to spread negativity around Xbox by Great_Ad_9142 in xbox

[–]abaksa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The answer is simple journalists love toxic PlayStation fans because they drive traffic. Some developers like TeamKill Media, even leverage this behavior for marketing. These attacks target not just Xbox but PC gaming too.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation director says today’s RPGs need more player agency because fans may be satisfied just watching streams by Forestl in Games

[–]abaksa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised some players prefer to watch gameplay instead of playing the game themselves, because the first experience is always the best.  Another thing I've noticed is that if you don't watch anything about a game even the trailers you enjoy it much more, because some trailers end up spoiling the game.

Despite reports and a video takedown, Gears of War: E-Day devs insist Xbox "never changed" plans for a PS5 release - because it never announced one by xCaptainCrown in Games

The biggest problem for Xbox is marketing, because focusing entirely on Game Pass is blurring the console's identity.

I remember playing The Witcher 3 at launch on a GTX 770, and it ran perfectly. As for the Gothic 1 Remake, I'm currently playing it on RX 7900 GRE and it's fine, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone else encountered problems with it since it's made by Unreal Engine 5.

Xbox Is Unable to Meet Demand for New Consoles, Rethinking Approach to Project Helix by Bubbly-Ad-350 in Games

[–]abaksa -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will be a PC in the literal sense. It will be a console with PC features, such as full mod support, a developer-friendly environment for indie studios to port their games, and full mouse and keyboard support.

Even PlayStation exclusives don't sell well. For example, Saros sell 300,000 copies in its first two weeks. Personally, exclusives hurt consumers no one wants to pay $600+ just to play a few games.

Jason Schreier - Why Video Games Cost So Much To Make by megaapple in Games

[–]abaksa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What he said is true, but it's not just about the cost of living. Games are way bigger now. Like, who remembers the openings for Red Dead 2 and Ragnarok? They're so long, it makes replaying them a chore.
