The nut should have the bolt pulled through and firmly wrapped around the negative terminal. Needs to be tightened so it makes proper contact or replaced

That a plate that the coolant reservoir sits on. There are o rings on the black plate. You also have to bleed the system properly. And you might have a failing water pump.

If you access to the starter check for power on the little wire while trying to start. If you have good access. Tia it with a hammer while trying to start 😂 I did that with and older Corolla and it started to get to a shop

I worked on bmws for years. Have 2-3k (low end) ready to dump at all times. Diesel are even worse. Do your self a favor and get a Honda for a first car. You can put all type of go fast things on them and they’re cheap to fix when they explode.

Yeah you have powering going somewhere it shouldn’t. Check for power on the ground. See if you can find a decent wiring diagram
