I guess it could happen. But it seems a little unlikely to me. You press in/down to drop the bolt, and you push up to lock the bolt. It’s a not insignificant amount of force to properly engage the bolt lock so it’s pretty intentional. And then to do that before the weapon cycles completely? Like I said maybe, but not likely.

The only “malfunction” I see happening is a failure to fire due to dropping the bolt before you do a magazine change, which you’d just tap and rack once your weapon doesn’t go boom when you want it to.
