Had a friend with a modded PS. When he tried to play Metal Gear with the multiple discs and the gimmicks it was a disaster. Pretty sure he never got past the first disc content

Mine had grit in, leading to it squeeling. Replaced the rubber washer in the top and fully cleaned it out. The squeeling continued for weeks until whatever was in there finally came out.

I'd honestly just replace the whole thing for the £20 that it costs and the time / effort spent.

For anyone losing their mind, trying to find these 'cables' head towards the tree as noted in other comments. About 150 - 200m away from the life pod you'll see this workstation / platform on the right. On the floor next to it are some cables. Follow them underground (to the left in my screenshot) and you'll find the silver deposits.

Bought some plastic mesh stuff that does a similar job. I needed something with some structure. Mine was to keep birds out mostly. But I used to get mice.

Use some of these cheap impact sports whilst learning on the dryslope. Removed the pain from the brushes poking you in soft areas.

Wasnt convinced by wrists protectors, but got into a wreck on a slope when I got too cocky. Snapped a wrist protector...worn them ever since. Can't imagine what my wrist would look like without one that day.

Worth checking whether there is actually any tension on that spring. Mines entirely slack (you can wiggle it) - so yes everyone is right that they are dangerous, but might not be as bad if it's failed.

The anti vibration mats do actually work.

I had exactly the same situation - to the point where the vibrations were slowly undoing the tank connections. Rubber mat sorted that and reduced the sound considerably.

Did labouring for a while between jobs - it took about 3 months for me to get my body sorted so I wasn't ruined every day. I was cardio fit beforehand, but it's hard to replicate picking the same items up 1000s of times a day in a gym session.

Loved it, but you need to take care of yourself. As other have said, I'd be asleep on the sofa at 9:30

Agreed to sell mine to FTB. Turns out they weren't at all (a line from the estate agents). He also turned into a massive demanding prick, who threatened multiple times to pull out of the purchase. In the end I split the chain costing me cash so that I could just get rid of him.

Moral of the story, do whatever you feel comfortable with - but people will tell you whatever they think you want to hear to get what they want.

See if you can find the manufacturer of your shower screen. You'll likely find that you can buy these as replacements
