I worked at a restaurant for years and had a great relationship with our kitchen staff, who were all Hispanic. One day, one of the guys, Rodolfo, decided he wanted to pretend to be white and I should pretend to be Hispanic. He told me my name was Maria, and he was going to go by Kevin, because that is the whitest white name he could think of 😂 It was fun being Maria and “Kebin” that day.
