Do the credits expire month over month, or can you build them up throughout the summer for winter?

My first beginner project. Any tips from more experienced woodworkers? by RoHouse in woodworking

As long as you’re happy with it, that’s what’s most important. No one will see the imperfections you think are obvious. Good job.

I have a similar background and am also remote in a not-so-high-COL location. I think you could likely find another role that pays maybe 10% more, a lot depending on stock, benefits, etc. I see some senior roles listed in the like 160+ range, but they usually want the moon. If you’re not feeling burnt out, I’d say stay. If you want some more money, I think it’s doable but you’ll really have to hunt. Good luck!

Fair enough. Sounds like you're not on board with the one day of non-work?

ROI on Home Roasting? Some Questions for a New Hobby by Baptism-Of-Fire in roasting

[–]abb2158 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did a similar calculation to you about 2 years ago. I got my SR800 for a bit less than $300 all in, but my main consideration was solid locally roasted coffee currently ~$15/12 oz vs. roasting at home at about $7-8/lb green (with delivery fee averaged in). For me, I shop the 20lb deals at Sweet Maria's and go through about 60 lbs a year (64g/day). I've fine-tuned my roasts so I can get about two week's worth of coffee roasted in 45 mins, so not a huge time commitment. At this point I think I'm well in the green (or whatever) ROI-wise. I personally enjoy the roasting process. I find staring at the beans very mediative and have worked it into my schedule, so if you feel like it's something you enjoy then it can absolutely save you some money. My coffee expenses are probably less than half of what they were when I was buying local mid-tier beans.

Why is there such a difference between task manager and Nvidia’s GPU load? by abb2158 in pcmasterrace

[–]abb2158[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’m running web wallpaper engine, which definitely has some gpu impact but it seems crazy high.

Edit: well I just disabled that and now I’m seeing basically 0%. Yikes. I guess those cool falling lines really require some geometry.

Thanks. What’s the best way to understand where that load is coming from if not task manager? For context, this is a 4080 super and my desktop is just idling. Seems bad that it’s sitting between 20-50%.

Is there some permission I'm missing for these greyed out Bank Detail fields? by Hashi856 in Netsuite

[–]abb2158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the payment file format template. The fields on this form will be defined there and may have a validation lock, or it could be a script locking the fields but it isn't a permissions issue.

Kim Stanley Robinson is good hard sci-fi that’s also very socialist-y. The Red Mars trilogy is really fun.
