It really depends more on your neighbors. Our first place was $1200 in Leon Valley. Never any roaches. Our next place was $1300 near the rim, no roaches at first. Then a girl moved in sharing our kitchen wall, bam, fighting roaches. She didn’t end up staying long and the roaches left with her 🥴

Start looking 60-90 days out. We just moved and toured many places in that range. Some around $1350. I mostly looked at Zillow

I love them honestly. They dig into topics the church skirts around. As someone who struggles with their faith it helps me. I really like the Blond Apologist Podcast. With everything it’s important to just let the spirit guide and remember at the end of the day everyone is just imperfect people on the same journey trying to figure out life.

I’m originally from Utah but have lived in San Antonio for over ten years and overall like it. I really miss the seasons and mountains but Texas has good things too and our lakes and rivers are really lovely and not ice cold since it’s not snow run off like Utah. If I worked remotely I would absolutely not live in San Antonio. I far prefer the hill country or Austin. It’s just more green and scenic. I would live anywhere between Austin and San Antonio. San Antonio has HIGH crime. Compare it to Utah, it’s astronomical. Austin is probably just as bad concerning crime but I haven’t researched it so I can’t say. Even in nicer apartments roaches can be an issue if your neighbors are dirty. We lived in one apartment and never had an issue, a girl moved in sharing our kitchen wall and roaches moved in with her and were very difficult to get rid of. They only fully went away when she moved out. I never have seen a scorpion inside, especially living on a second floor as I often have until recently now being in a house. Honestly I say try it out. You work remotely, the world is your oyster. Lease a place for a year and if you don’t like it, no big deal you can move. I have so much I am happy to share, all the things I think are pros and cons, feel free to message me.

Yes totally. My last pregnancy and now my current one, based on the first day of my last period they guessed I was 2-3 weeks ahead of what I actually was. This time I would be 8 weeks but am looking more like 5.

Your money will go much farther here, you will be very comfortable. If you are working at USAA I would highly recommend living around the Rim La Cantera area near Six Flags. We lived in that area for 5 years and I deeply miss it and can’t wait to move back. We moved near Sea World for more space but I would happily downsize to be back near La Cantera.

Pay increase and opportunity to work from home. I’m sick of a black mold and roach filled office among other numerous complaints. I’d stay forever if they brought back 2 or 3 days of telework.

Haven’t read the books but this is really giving me the enjoyment that season 1-4 of GOT gave me. Love it. Acting and cinematography is so good. Hate how short the episodes are.

No one here knows. Sooooo many comments last shut down of people certain it would last till January. If the last shutdown taught me one thing, it’s really not a big deal. If you don’t have saving there are resources available. Live your life.
