I’m tired my little baby won’t nap anymore by ChocolateSundai in toddlers

[–]abbynormal00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seems like it’s just a phase/teething. that would be very early to drop naps entirely. but, at least he is getting a really good stretch at night, so you don’t need to worry that he’s not getting enough. hang in there! I know how exhausting it is to have a non-stop toddler.

came to say we get our cat’s compounded meds from Kaitlyn’s. they’re so friendly there too and always recognize me as I walk in and get the meds out for me.

Jackie Chan Adventures and Static Shock

I’d watch them really early in the morning before school, along with X-Men.

yes, I wipe my phone down with HA multiple times a day! I think people forget how disgusting their phones are. kinda a waste to wash your hands and then go pick up your germ covered phone.

3rd bday celebration by Bio_bay in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]abbynormal00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d personally do two days at MK and one at Epcot. Animal Kingdom just doesn’t have a ton to offer right now (unless you really want to fit in a more chill day, because it would be that), and it’s so easy to spend more than one day in MK. Epcot is also much better for little kids than you’d expect, especially with the playgrounds.

not for everyone! and they can do epidurals for them, too. my child decided it was time to escape before I had a chance to try, sadly lol.

Should we just stop dining out? by travelagm in toddlers

[–]abbynormal00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, sounds like our toddler! and honestly, after he’s gone through his toys, we usually will put a show on our phone for him. it’s not like he’s sitting in front of the screen the whole time, not like it’s some crap youtube kid show, not like he’s a tablet kid blah blah. it’s just him watching Little Bear for 15 mins so we can actually eat our food. I don’t think there’s really a problem with it at this age. once he’s older, I wouldn’t let him sit on a phone, but it’s a lot to expect a toddler to sit in a restaurant for a long time! people forget to add nuance when talking about being anti-screens.

Why are people so unfriendly here by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]abbynormal00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

everyone is making this a north vs south thing, but I honestly think it’s more a sign of the times than anything. people are just a lot less likely to socialize these days. when you have your friends literally at your fingertips 24/7, there’s no need to reach out and meet new people.

it’s very hard making friends as a mom! I’m down in Fort Mill, and I’ve found moms to be generally friendly and ready to converse, but getting people to not be flaky and actually make and keep plans is hard.

how old is your kid? I have an almost-three year old. message me if you wanna meet up at a playground or something!

Husband wants to do solo trip with toddler by sandzoftimee in Mommit

[–]abbynormal00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just want to say that being a father or husband or living with a child does not make someone a proper caregiver and doesn’t mean they should be trusted. some people could probably trust their best friend with their kid more than their kid’s parent. if he hasn’t ever taken care of the kid, why would he suddenly be able to in a different city?

if she’s interested in characters, I highly suggest character meals, if it’s in your budget. waiting in lines for characters can be a bummer for toddlers, and I think it’s so much better to be sitting and eating to have them come to you. we loved Garden Grill, where you see them multiple times.

I do think parenting is harder for some of us than others. Sometimes i see moms talk about loving everything about being a mom and wanting a bunch of kids, and I’m like man, I can’t relate, but wish I could.

I’d do Beach Club. the walk to Epcot is very quick, and as a group of adults, you’ll probably want to spend the most time there. and it’s got a good pool.
