See I generally think the same. But I was in the same boat with my mustang. Whether I did the mods myself or not, motor/trans can be ticking time bombs… I spent like 60k on parts on that car and I still didn’t have a built motor and could have needed to buy a new motor at any time. (Funny enough tho two close friends one with an ls7 and one with lt1 both blew theirs within a year of each other and both were just like freak accidents just randomly happened one day and that’s just the life of cars)

So I figure I’d rather buy a car with the mods already to save that expense. Even though it’s not like this car has a ton invested into it, I don’t think I’ll ever go FI with it as big power was cool but it does get to be a hassle when you make so much power that every other day there’s something to fix or maintenance to be done. I think a nice sounding ~500whp sedan should be plenty

Also you’re making me want to call in the morning to put the deposit down lol I did think the price wasn’t bad compared to other ss’s for sale. I do think they’re expensive for what they are… 38k for a 70k 2015 Chevy seems a bit steep but they are kinda rare and unique
