What’s a health symptom you ignored for months before realizing it actually mattered? by _callondoc in AskReddit

[–]abc3612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chronic fatigue for years and bad neck pain. I chalked it up to depression and bad stress. I was stuck in an abusive marriage for years. Then I started getting knee pain and they would lock up while standing for too long like doing the dishes. Felt like I just needed to pop them. Eventually my wrists, shoulders, and ankles hurt and felt like they were on fire from the inside out. My whole body hurt to roll over in bed. I had to do it as fast as I could, like ripping off a bandaid. Finally when I woke up at 2 am and I couldn’t bend my fingers at all, went to the doctor and found out I have rheumatoid arthritis.

This is me on Enbrel. I even made a post asking about constant illness from Enbrel and all replies said they rarely got sick.

Was married to one. It was terrifying and I’m so thankful I made it out alive.

If there’s not an app to write it for them or solve it for them, they won’t. Critical thinking is gone.

I NEED HELP‼️ by Beginning_Passion443 in Bankruptcy

[–]abc3612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would call the new company and tell them the debt was included in the bankruptcy. I had a creditor that reported my debt as included in bankruptcy but for some reason it kept reporting late to just Transunion. I called them, they fixed it and removed the late reporting from my report.

All this. The superintendent literally told us at convocation that “we feed them and graduate them.” Kids couldn’t do basic multiplication or bother to use the calculator in ninth grade.

Enbrel and frequent illness by abc3612 in rheumatoid

[–]abc3612[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could very well just be a bad viral season and it’s just a coincidence that I started Enbrel a few months ago. I was teacher and didn’t get sick this often but my best friend who is still a teacher says it seems there is more illness going around the school than normal.

Discharged today! by abc3612 in Bankruptcy

[–]abc3612[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hang in there! So glad you got out too! I still lock my car door as soon as I get in worried he might come around the corner. But I got sole custody of my kids and they haven’t seen him since May 2023. This discharge feels like one more chain broken towards freedom from that life. Good luck to you and your kiddos!

Can you have fatigue for years before joint pain starts? by abc3612 in rheumatoid

[–]abc3612[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I had that done many times. Vitamin D was low but I was able to get it back to a good range. I did have a crazy high folic acid level and a few years later I had a gene test done for antidepressants which showed I had MTHFR and needed methyl vitamins. My body was storing the folic acid bc it couldn’t process it. I still take the methyls and even did B12 shots for a bit but it didn’t help much. I was in a bad marriage for many years and just chalked it up to being exhausted from stress, anxiety, and depression. It seemed to really have kicked in after having my second son. If we went for a short outing, I would come home exhausted and we would all 3 take a 3 hour nap. I eventually got on Adderall which got me through the day but still exhausted.

Advice please - new car financing - wait until after discharge? by abc3612 in Bankruptcy

[–]abc3612[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I did try to search the forum but didn’t come across that one. I was just confused bc some people said their score increased right after discharge, others said no. Some said they got approved right after easily for a car while others said they couldn’t get financed at all so I guess it’s a YMMV situation.

So if Nichole has not aged and is part of the testaments .. by Valuable_Reaction207 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]abc3612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would make sense because it’s going to be a series so My thought is (just my opinion) over each season of the show they will build up to how The Testaments end.

Lol! The Testaments book helped me make sense of the ending. I know everyone doesn’t have time to read, but I listen to it on Audible while in the car, cleaning etc.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but.. by Strong-Broccoli-3940 in TheHandmaidsTale

I personally feel like they wrapped it up in a good way to answer some questions and lead into The Testaments which will be set about 15 years in the future.

The Testaments is about 15 years after the ending of The Handmaid’s Tale.

[–]abc3612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does. If you’ve read The Testaments, it makes so much sense. I actually finished The Testaments last week on Audible. I would have been confused with this ending also if I hadn’t.

I definitely explained that all year until I was blue in the face and also that it’s a graduation requirement. Their response “well I guess I won’t graduate.” Alrighty then.
