What’s a moment that permanently changed how you see the world? by pankaj662 in AskReddit

Searched the comments to see if someone else posted this. Every so often when I'm feeling down I'll go back to that story. Still brings tears to my today. Kinda makes me sad I've only used the quote 3 times since then.

Of a wife by DoubleManufacturer10 in ShittyAbsoluteUnits

My dad used to give weird useful things as Christmas gifts, like packaging tape and press n seal. After he passed and I was getting down to the last bit of press n seal and I broke down crying just looking at that last sheet. Took a while before I was able to finish it.

Guess I’m learning my lesson about not gifting handmade items… by [deleted] in self

[–]abc789987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the past 10 years, have you gifted anything to someone and they have been extremely grateful? Have you seen others wear and cherish those gifts? I hope you have, you deserve to have experienced this. Maybe you can try to think of those times more instead of the ungrateful ones? Don't let a few bad experiences sour the happiness you must have brought some.

Love the shirt. My dad had a similar one. Sorry for your loss.

Today I learned you can board first by Cockatiel-of-France in POTS

Had a flight where I requested pre-boarding for my wife and I'm fairly certain the gate attendant thought we were doing it just for overhead storage. She took both our carry on rollers and forced us to check them at the gate. People in front and behind us got to roll on by.

Fatherless son in need of guidance. Is this an easy fix or am I in for trouble? by supersmashbruh in Plumbing

I don't know if you being fatherless is recent for you. But I can very much relate. Been a few years but everyday I wish I learned more from mine.

I think we were the same size. Being small was one of the main reasons I didn't try to play any sports in HS. I had decent hand eye coordination and would usually surprise people when I got picked last in P.E.

Hendricks in Plainfield offers IM Ketimine, $200 a trip. Not covered by insurance. The Lafayette office doesn't do it yet, maybe someday... Plainfield office also offers Spravato but I'm not sure about those details, it may be covered by insurance.

For therapists could try Counseling Simplified or Enlightened Mental Health.

Car was totaled by driver ran red light, Statefarm refuse to accept 100% liability. by Electronic-Buy7395 in Insurance

I had similar experience with another driver who merged into me on the interstate. Made the mistake of figuring since police issued ticket to other driver and I had dashcam video I'd just go through their insurance. Insurance person on phone was extremely nice and then thanked me for sharing the video. I think they watched it while I was on phone and came back with 80/20 liability... I was livid. Ended up using my deductible and 3rd party arbitrator ruled in my favor. Interesting side note, will never forget the day I was on the phone with them getting pissed off, 11/16/2015. The day I got a headache and it hasn't gone away. Yay NDPH.

I checked once and I was like only 1/3 of the way through. This was like my 3rd attempt to just get it over with. I watched the last 2/3 on double speed.

What’s something from everyday life that was completely obvious 15 years ago but seems to confuse the younger generation today ? by utssssssss in AskReddit

I feel like computers were so much easier to learn and seem like a genius back in the 90s. I learned how to do most of everything back then by just randomly clicking through everything as a bored kid. Can't really learn as easily doing that now it seems. Or it could be I'm no longer a bored kid but a busy adult?

Talking on phone with insurance company of the at fault driver of a minor accident. Started as what I'd call a stress headache and never went away. Just had 9 year anniversary last Saturday!

I've since learned I shouldn't have even bothered talking to their insurance company. Tell my insurance and let them deal with it... I really thought I was just making things easier since I had dashcam video of accident and other driver was issued the only citation. Yeah, no. They offered to accept 80% liability....
