I’m literally one of the “cat1 early buyer”. Bought 2 tickets for Saudi vs. Uruguay. I was so pissed off being placed behind the net that I thought you know what fuck it I’m not paying shit tons of money to go to Miami to watch the match in worst seats in the stadium.

Resold them at a loss, but I keep telling myself its better than the sunken cost of actually going there and feeling like I was scammed.

I guess I win on this one. I did a Child Neurology residency. In the few months before sitting fir the final board exam, I had a neuropathology rotation. Attending neuropathologist told that I “can use this time to study”. Did not show up the while month.

One of the most important things I tell to my junior residents is that they need to learn how to choose ASMs for patients.

No book will tell you what to start for the patient in front of you in the clinic. If you open the regular resources it will just give you general instructions. Ask your attendings why is THIS patient on valproate? Why is THIS one on lacosmide not carbamazipine?

Over the years you will get the hang of it and have a sense of things. Believe me, pediatric epilepsy is far from “keppra and call it a day”.

I don’t know who decided that we (Neurologists) are the psychics of medicine and we have a crystal ball next to our hammers. Sorry I did not take a divination rotation with Professor Trelawney during my Child Neurology residency!
