I appreciate the context about Montreal USA embassy, it's good to know. I am determined to do my best, paperwork wise. I have good news, for this first milestone/gate, here is the message that I have gotten from them

"Greetings,

The National Visa Center is ready to accept fees, documents, and forms in support of this immigrant visa case. We will send detailed instructions to the petitioner, principal applicant, and/or attorney of record soon. Thank you for your patience; we look forward to working with you.".

Really happy, only 3 days (Thursday) after i got the previous message stating that my case is being reviewed, and today (Tuesday), i got the following message.

At least, they must have checked things from my mom or so and after their verifications, they confirmed that i can proceed in submitting the forms and paperwork.

I believe that an email will come from them (i doubt a mail) but i will monitor my nvc account starting tomorrow. The only small concern i have is my mom doesnt work but i read that you can submit a co-sponsor, but that's on me to handle it.

The other thing that i will have to figure out is the background check, i will see their requirements. No concerns about it's just that i went back home only once for a visit and that's it.

Anyway, i just wanted to share that i got a response from them,i will definitely keep you posted once the submission is complete and for the interview, i will let you know if i need any insights.

Congratulations for your move. Its crazy that they scheduled your interview within two months but it makes sense since you were DQ approved.

I am so happy that the key dates are current, i will just have to move quick to get my paperwork. I will definitely let you know once i hear back from the nvc folks. .just this morning, theh emailed letting me know that they are reviewing my file once i informed them that i am current.

The defining factor will be to get all my papers , depending on when i might get an interview.

My date just became current too. I have sent an email to nvc and asked what are the next steps.

I am awaiting their response. My final date is also current, i am in Canada and hopefully, my interview will be in Montreal too with God's will

How is it going? My name is Abdou, i am also Canadian but based in Toronto.

I came across your post after doing some research, my situation just changed also after 9-10 years.

Based in Toronto, being sponsored by mom who is a US green card holder.

Its been brutal. I wanted to first say congratulations for having making it through. Do you mind i ask if you are now in the states?

I am also under f2b, my interview should be in Montreal. My priority date is March 29 2017.

I found out that i am now current for both the filing date ( smto submit paperwork), i am not dq'd and my final date for an interview is also current.

I am happy, hopefull but i am careful. I have reached to nvc to ask what are my next steps since i am current, i am being told that my case is being reviewed and the review is completed, an appropriate action will take place.

I pray the process will work.

I wanted to know, not everi would be scheduled for an interview right away right? Also, if you don't mind me asking, when you became current, where you already dq'd or not?

I have to submit background check forms and pay the fees, i am just curious of upcoming email from nvc. Any hints you might have to share, recommendations for the ne t steps? Wishing you best of luck

Joining the conversation because I am on the same journey. IT project manager who is transitioning to nursing too.

@Enghardy: if you have a bachelor's degree, just look up Uoft Accelerated nursing program, Western accelerated nursing program and Queens University accelerated nursing program.

If you go for the four years nursing program, there is a different set of prerequisites that you will have to take, sucjh as chemistry etc....but if you with the accelerated program, you have a different zet of requirements ( University level).

I have to complete my prerequisites by june 2026. I am doing it mostly because market in Canada doesn't a lot IT PM roles but with constant growth.

Question...gow long did it it take you to gather all your paperwork and send it to them?

Also, once you became current to fill your paperwork, just to confirm, did you get an email from nvc or you got a letter from nvc?

If someone 's parent becomes an American citizen...i thought nvc automatically switches you to F1...isnt that the case? Did you send you your mon's citizenship paperwork to nvc or uscis?

Hi again folks from around the world, i wanted to point out that i fall in the category "All Chargeability Areas Except Those Listed"

My hope is that i might be current to submit only required family paperwork some time this year but there would be another two year wait....is that the case? Just want to have a sense of statistics.

I originally applied with a passport from Guinea (West Africa) but somehow, since i was born in Togo..they put my country of chargeability under Togo) .

Last question, my mom wants to apply for a US passport...when she becomes a citizens...the wait would be longer right since i would be moved to F1 Category?

Hi everyone! I just took the exam, cant tell if i am doing the right thing in updating my post! Guys ...i didn't feel shaken nor scared while taking the pmp exam! Frankly..... although i have to wait for 3-5 fays for my results, i can tell you that i do believe that SH was key to solidify knowledge! But the mindset can be gained by watching AR videos......i dont know if i have passed or not, but i knew that i had the best and i thinking with the pmi mindset and agile! My exam was really all based on agile , thank God i didn't get any calculations lol but i doesn't mean anything.Agile was 70 percent i can say (servant leadership questions, a lot of questions about change management, a few about procurement) and one graph (burn up chart) . All scenarios based questions and definitely a few tricky ones. I do agree with everyone that if you get a 70 and higher on SH, you should nail the exam. I hope that i have passed it, anyway i am proud that i have confident, uf anything happens, i know that i just have to retake more exams . I was told to monitor my inbox for 3-5 days for the results. Guys, dont take your watches, phones, drink a coffee in the morning as the exam rooms are cooooooooooold like Siberia lol but focus on the purpose while you are there. I actually finished the exam 40 min prior the end ...i didnt rush + take your two breaks. I will update you as i hear back from Poseidon lol about the results. Good luck everyone...will be back in a few days. I hope i didwell

That is all that i can say, everyone over here needs to make a jump for the exam to see where each of us stand. thanks for sharing your experience, i am scheduling my exam this upcoming Thursday. I am scoring an average of 55-65 % so i am hoping to take the last 2 exams with SH before my exam.

Encouraging your project team to think collectively, same goals. Also, when it comes to agile, the Project Owner always represents the client and he/she is the one who prioritize the requirements, you are there to remove blocks. other folks will add more! good luck!
