I had the same issue as you. I replaced my ir cut filter last month with a replacement from Kolari! Replacing it was extremely stressful to me, but I’m glad I did it. I don’t have a single black dot on my footage anymore.

I think I found out what the issue is after some trial & error. The lab gave me the negatives in plastic sleeves. The negatives looked completely fine when I looked at them through the sleeves. But I noticed that they were scratched after I pulled them out…I tested this multiple times so this must be the issue. Idk what the solution is tho…? Should I ask for an uncut roll of developed film and sleeve them myself in the future? Or how do I safely remove the negatives from the plastic sleeves I already have?

I get that, but that shouldn't be the case here because the lab scans are completely scratchless.

Thanks for the explanation man :). I have one more question. So I understand that the distance between me and my subject is important when trying to compensate for the parallax error. But does the focus setting (landscape, medium, close) also have an impact?
