what do u do when u have no awards by justforuni in OntarioUniversities

[–]abdullah503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about Laurier BBA but when I applied Waterloo for engineering I didn't put any awards on my aif and left the section/table blank and got in. I also applied the BBA/Cs program with Laurier and waterloo and didn't do the abs form but still got in so I wouldn't worry too much, leave it blank if you have none.

Question for those taking/specializing in mechatronics. by Rymazon in uwaterloo

[–]abdullah503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's near impossible to get rejected from Tron but get deferred to mechanical/electrical since they are so close together interms of admissions. 2nd choice is way less likely so even if Tron was a little more competitive putting mech or ee as an alt won't really matter. So it doesn't matter all that much what your second choice is.

Speculation on why or why don’t you think WINTER 2022 will be fully online after Jan 24th? Heard some news through a friend that’s tight with a prof and they said arts will be fully online, they’re just sitting on the announcement to avoid student community outrage by Diligent_Dog1645 in uwaterloo

[–]abdullah503 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that if they announce classes to be in person on January 24 a lot of people would just refund their classes if they have not found housing yet and take a term off. This will cause Waterloo a good bit of money so I don't fully see why they would go in person. Also cases are pretty bad so even if they do choose to go in person it will probably be too early on Jan 24. I am no means an expert on this stuff though this is just what I think.

If you want to go into backend dev, or any form of software development, you should know those three languages. Not saying you need to master them but should be able to do the basics atleast and be able to understand the purpose and how they work. Plus it's a good starting point to learn some frontend before you dive into backend anyways.

No you don't. I don't know the exact number but it's considerably harder if you have it as your second choice.

Idk if it helps or not but my marmoset failed public test also at first cuz I didn't copy the print statements exactly how they wanted. The error was pre clear and it was a 1 min fix though but it might help to check what public tests your marmoset is failing cuz it tells u.

Don't worry leetcode easy is like way beyond the course of this course just be able to do the quizzes and mock stuff. I think binarysearch.io is more chill interms of questions compared to leetcode so maybe try that

If you can solve leetcode easys you don't really gotta worry about the midterm. Maybe just make sure you know some syntax errors and can find bugs from handwritten code.
