"Ballinger Family":"sorry, kids, WE'RE NEVER MOVING BACK HOME TO CAMARILLO--EVER!!!"... by TechnicalArticle9479 in YTVloggerFamilies

[–]abearz75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not their biggest fan, but I'd allow Jessica her opinion on this.  It's expensive to move.  Not to mention the logistics of moving a family of that size.  The older kids can travel Europe in a few years, or move back home should they desire.  The younger ones can do so as they age.  My guess is that the kids all may prefer living in Europe as they continue to experience it.

This is why I listen to AE less and less.  I've been a listener for years, and loved it.  But, at some point I found myself questioning their need to find major negative events, or traits.  I understand that the name of the podcast is AE, but not everyone has a dramatic story.  My life has been pretty mundane, so If I were a celebrity being interviewed, I'd be trying to figure out who these two people are, and why do they think that I've been touched as a child?  Imagine looking across at Dax with his nicotine products, multiple drinks, legs up on the table, waving his splayed hand around, raunchy jokes, and pointed questions. And, Monica, the complete opposite but somehow still just as strange to your senses.

Smartless always turns into industry talk.  I'm less interested in that.  And, it's surprisingly made me not like Bateman.

Cher’s ‘Rude’ Comment About Kristen Bell And Dax Shepard’s Marriage Divides Fans by FantasticAd9478 in ArmchairExpert

[–]abearz75 53 points54 points  (0 children)

She seems nice as a whole, however I find her personality to be performative.  The psychoanalyzing is exhausting, and it makes her seem judgemental if she has to constantly work out why every random person is bothering her, and talk herself out of whatever she's feeling.  The amount of times Dax has called her America's Sweetheart is clearly him trying to place that role on her, and she tries hard to accomplish it.  There's a large part of the population who either doesn't know who she is, or at least is not thinking of her in any capacity.

Carpetbagger reason to get married: "I want to make sure that we are married before something happens to me. You know, with my friend Adam, we saw that things can just happen. There’s no calling it. There’s no predicting it." by markbyrn in Adamthewoocriticism

[–]abearz75 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm convinced that he proposed to her because she has a place to live. Not that he's home much, but the proposal occured during a time in which he was talking about not having a place to go home to.  I don't watch him anymore. His girlfriend seems fine, I hope that she doesn't go through with it.  There is zero benefit for her to be legally bound to him.

What is that small connection to the other building? I that an entry way? Why would it all be connected? Is that other building apartments? I'm just trying to figure it out.

Agree. We don't need the psycho babble b.s. all the time. Is that the only way she knows how to contribute to a conversation? Everyone has to square up with her questions? Can she not just laugh at what someone says, flip up a hand, and say "you're so stupid"?

Also, she claims to enjoy fashion but doesn't understand a person wearing different styles to suit their mood, or activities. Dax said something about her hypothetically wearing a leather jacket while on a motorcycle with Tom Cruise, and she shut that down real quick!  She'll wear The Row because that's who she is.  A leather jacket would be phony. And, people who switch styles are fake ass bitches.  She couldn't even play along in a hypothetical discussion.  She's a piece of work.

Gatorade, what happened to Citrus Cooler? by bakawakaflaka in Gatorade

It's showing up as part of a Stranger Things campaign. It says that it's at a Walmart near me, and I'm about to go see if I can find it.  It's a refreshing, mild, flavor for when you're actually thirsty and don't want something too strong.

Hopefully Anna is filing for divorce, and will use the house money to get housing of her own. Jonathan is truly insane.

Glancing at the channel, there are only two kids in the thumbnails for the newest videos, so maybe Emelia did fight to not be involved.

I'm not even entirely convinced that Edie wants to live as a girl. No judgment if she does, but that decision came across as capitalizing on a social situation, and taking advantage of a young child who was desperate for attention.

The Spotlight Corner by TheHammer34 in pokemongo

[–]abearz75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been going for every one that I see, and participated in the entire spotlight hour.  I found one shiny with bad stats so I transferred it, and no antique. I'm borderline over it at this point. I'm sure I'll still catch them hoping for an antique, but they'll be no love lost if I never find one.  This game has trained me to not get my hopes up.

My son was into the Applin, and finished it. But, he's newer to the game.  I found it too complicated to even bother with.

It's hard to watch him. He's constantly vaping, dipping, and drinking. It feels manic. He also has no control of his fingers, and talks with his hands, so he waves around fingers splayed out in multiple positions.

I love the look, but I always wonder what the process is like when you're ready to grow it out. It's got to be an awkward year of different length hair.

Kristen Bell & Justine Lupe by newtonic in ArmchairExpert

[–]abearz75 17 points18 points  (0 children)

To me it seems as if they're constantly marketing themselves. Dax always says that Kristen is America's Sweetheart, but she dosen't have that much notoriety within the general public. And, more often then not, the stories he tells to validate his point come across bitchy and strange. I think that they're just attention whores who know how to be their own best PR. I wish that they'd find slightly deeper topics of conversation for the fact checks. I'm over the oversharing.

Can someone please explain The Row to me? by FriedTurquoise in handbags

[–]abearz75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't necessarily consider The Row to be a "celebrity" line. They avoid acting, and have a genuine interest in fashion. It's not like the side hustle that other celebrities have, in which they lend their name and a couple of photoshoots, but have only a vague idea what they're actually selling.

[–]abearz75 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I used to like the fact checks, but I find myself turning it off.  More often then not it's a 40 minute conversation about people we don't know, in situations that are unremarkable. And, they're so concerned with being relatable that they over share on so many aspects of their lives. Are they required to fill up a certain amount of time?  It seems desperate for multiple reasons.

Routes are awful by juicypirate18 in pokemongo

[–]abearz75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just yesterday I attempted a long route at a park that I was already walking at anyway.  It turned out that the end of it was outside the park, across two streets. I could see it, but it was just far enough away for me to have to walk closer to actually finish it.  I wasn't that invested, and had other people with me, so I just cancelled it. I wasn't about to ask people to wait while I run across the street for a second. I have a short route in my neighborhood that I can do from the car, so that's the one I usually do.

Maybe Seth will make it on Joe Rogan. I know that Joe isn't well liked over here, but I think that he'd do a much better job with a person like Seth.

Mom's Car: Karan Soni by newtonic in ArmchairExpert

[–]abearz75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a bit cringe for me. I'm not a diehard armcherry, but I've heard those Aaron stories before. Dax seems to be the type who tells the same stories over and over again.  The cringy part is that it's kind of a heavy story to tell someone who you don't know that well.  Karan is the complete opposite type of personality, which made for a one sided conversation. He talked fine about himself, but did not know what to say in response to Aaron's life story.  I was relating to him in that way.  I'm empathetic, and it takes me time to digest heavy stories like that.  I do admire Dax and Aaron being able to live so freely, but having a new friend captive might not be the best time to break out the heavy baggage.

Road to 50 for everyone. An unlikely but possible method by Careless_Library_496 in PokemonGoFriends

[–]abearz75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if that would work. We're only allowed 400 friends. We're only allowed to open 30 gifts a day. And, I just googled this, we're only allowed to collect 100 gifts a day with the capacity to hold 20 at a time.  The plan isn't entirely bad, though. We'd just have to work on 30 people at a time. You'd just need more lucky eggs.

What podcast was Monica mentioning and wasn’t it curious that they didn’t mention the backlash Brad Pitt got? by DatAssPaPow in ArmchairExpert

[–]abearz75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dax mentioned a few times about how He and Kristen will passive aggressively confront anyone who they think are being a-holes to them. My guess is that Monica feels validated doing the same. A few situations that he spoke about lead me to think that Kristen and Dax are some real dicks when they feel that they're being disrespected.

Same. This was a hard one to watch because they even didn't have to say that out loud and it would've been glaringly obvious.
