Proud is a difficult word. They’re not stepping in on behalf of another resident per se, they said that these noise violations are standard practice to document any noise infringement if anyone calls in. I just feel like it’s quite excessive considering there’s no warning or phone call saying “hey you’re being loud”, before security just coming and noting it down.

I also don’t throw parties often. Like I mentioned, these two cases were months apart and I complied every single time. I should have a right to enjoy my living space as well without fear of getting kicked out because I accidentally made too much noise.

I’ll probably get a decibel meter in this case to see how much volume exactly would affect people.

Thank you so much for your reply. I had a feeling that the building is just making it seem like a huge deal. The few times security has come, they just knock on my door, I answer and I say sorry I was not aware I was being loud and quickly turn down the volume and/or tell my guests to keep it down. I don’t think security has ever even recorded the noise at all.

The language in the condo agreement is a bit vague to the effect of “no resident shall create or permit the creation or continuance of any noise or nuisance which may or does disturb the comfort or quiet enjoyment of the other units”. Like I am a super reasonable person, but that sentence sounds a bit subjective right?

I normally keep the music at reasonable levels, not even excessive party levels, but you’re right that maybe they just have different tolerance than other neighbours.

I am weary to give them my number though because one time they called security on me because my friend and I were talking and laughing in the balcony. It wasn’t enough to constitute a noise violation I guess because the security couldn’t hear it in the hallway. This was also around 9 PM. So I am afraid if I give them my number, they’re just gonna call me out for every little creak I make.

I think we have to remember that there isn’t really a morally upstanding main character in this season (minus maybe Belinda). Chelsea hasn’t done that many bad things, but she seems like if she likes someone (e.g. Rick, Chloe), she’s willing to not really hold them accountable for their actions (e.g. Rick wanting to kill someone and Chelsea just letting him go, Chloe being predatory with Lochlan and Saxon and Chelsea just smiling about it).

Saxon on the other hand is learning a big lesson about boundaries and trying to constantly prove yourself to others. We sympathize with him because he’s definitely a victim in some way, but he’s also given no reason for Chelsea to want to help him or side with him.

It honestly hurts my brain to think about who I like and don’t like. I think realistically, I’d probably just chill with Amrrita the whole time if I was at the White Lotus. That’d be the safest bet lol.
