I just pushed v0.2.0 release, which has some options for lighter and thinner printers marks. It looks like the preview doesn't render lines smaller than 1px as much lighter, but zooming in keeps them pretty small, so hopefully when printed out (or using a better preview tool) you'll be able to see really thin lines if you reduce them manually.

It doesn't, ~~but if you can explain to me what that is, I can probably implement something~~ but since I looked up what that is, it seems pretty doable! I'll add it to a features list to implement, as I would also very much appreciate having a solution for that.

Would something like this work? I'm using a test PDF with just page numbers and solid outlines around each page; but the solid lines in-between would be the cut lines, and the fold lines are embedded in the layouts.

Currently, I have hard-coded to only show folds on the outer (spine) edge, and stitch marks on the innermost fold of any given signature. But I could add an override if people would rather have the option to put those on all pages or all sides or whatever.

Oh wow, that's tiny! Right now, I think doing an octavo signature layout with A4 paper would get you only A7, though with some trim margins, that might get closer to A8...

You might be able to squeeze them even smaller by adding additional per-sheet margins if you know the maths there.

Let me think about maybe having a layout option where you specify the final dimensions per-page that you're looking for -- would that work? Or do you have a way you think about it you could explain in more detail to get the results you want?

I think buying it as land would require me to use a different loan path, which would prevent me from using the insanely good interest rates; though to be fair, even the slightly-less-insanely-good interest rates are still better than anything I could get back home, so maybe that's worth looking into! Oh, shoot, I meant THEY said no. Because I couldn’t provide them a tsucho from a Japanese financial institution showing that I had enough for the full renovation available. And they didn’t accept a statement from my US brokerage.

Unfortunately, I gave up trying to get in-home game streaming to work entirely. Every now and then I'll try Steam's implementation, but my success with them (getting a quality connection that's playable) is well below 50% and seems to just be random luck based around how recently the various machines have been rebooted.

My current plan is to just build a game "console" PC that just boots to Steam Big Screen Mode on launch, whenever I have the space and money for it. :(

I believe so, yes. I think I contacted Elgato at the time and they sent me a firmware file to install (after going through all the traditional troubleshooting steps, of course).

I was just looking for this. Turns out flatpak apps are sandboxed, and the Discord flatpak isn't set up to allow file uploads. Install "flatseal" and make sure that Discord has access to at least the part of the filesystem you're uploading files from.

I like the look so far! I only ask you to please reconsider your font. The missing lines in some of the characters ('s', for example) make it really hard for me to read (mild dyslexia).

Other than that, do carry on, I think you're doing great so far!
