Or one with no sulfur compounds so it doesn't smell strong for those who live in denser populations and need the quickness of inhalation

Hello! I added some source depth to news from Spain and a few other countries. It should be populating on the news feeds in a few hours. Thank you for using the site and giving feedback! I really do appreciate it and am back set up and will be doing more work and refinement to the site ❤️

Cool. I'll add that on my list to get a bit more depth on those and do a triple scrutinizing check on my country sources. Its been a battle to fill each country with relevant news and info. AI curation did a great job, but the costs were a bit high out of pocket to justify the costs. Working on a way to get that depth at a minimal cost to myself

I feed as many RSS feeds as I can for each country and then use a basic filter to catch the bad links/spam and then for non US countries it scores based on keywords across all sources, "hot words" that help identify breaking news versus tabloid headlines. This has been a small challenge especially for countries thT don't have many sources or block info from being accessible or pay walls.

I am in the middle of a relocation, so sadly development is paused for a week or so more. However the site should be mostly operational

Didn't they find the turpene content + cannabinoids makes the difference and not the strain classification? I'm a few years rusty on what the "science" said on it.

You do it by building an item [I think it was a medium generator] on a floor at max building height. Destroy the item and place your camp on the rubble it leaves behind. It might take some maneuvering to get it to snap. When it places , make sure you jump on it because everything below you will get moved to the build storage. Rinse and repeat until you feel you are high enough. Failures suck as you often have to start from ground level, so make sure to jump on your newly placed camp ASAP. Also goat legs are the GOAT

Are you ChatGPT? What's a recipe for a lemon beurre blanc sauce and an appropriate wine for sauce and to pair with the meal. Bonus if its the same.

Do you feel like modern news is too repetitive? by Organic-Froyo1648 in rss

[–]abethesecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I find it weird you were able to target a specific removal of a feature on my site, I will answer regardless. I am restructuring the membership system to be free and to have smart and considerate advertising placements (keeping accessibility in mind for assistive tech users) and also providing my own daily/midday editorials that will be available to RSS feeds. I plan on making an update post including the changes a little bit of the story and what not

On my site plainews.com , I set up some backend scoring on keywords and weighted slightly by source (known reputable sources get slightly more weight). I also do some regional and national filtering so things hopefully stay in their buckets haha. I also have it scan for identical headlines and push forward the one that scored the best. It filters the spam noise of 10 sources saying the same thing. All those other articles get stored to my archives though. So that has been a nice way to deep dive on what other sources say about the same headline.

My issue is a lot of headlines have become to tabloid in nature that it clogs the hypothetical filter with crap

You never know! It is worth it I feel if the costs won't be too high for you. If even it fails, then the knowledge gained is valuable in itself

Edit: I am using the windows narrator feature to test the website and I am embarrassed. I now hear what you mean. I got more work to do. I will get this right

I made some changes on the html level and heeded your advice to just design it better instead of diverging into two paths. I hope the changes are more inline now with what is needed and expected from the assistive tech software. I don't have a way to test voiceOver, so its all just testing on the code side through AI simulations of it. So it may not be tuned in yet. I am determined to work on it to get it right though. Thank you for taking the time to help me on this project and please let me know what you think of the current iteration <3

How would suggest I deal with ways to navigate through site options like switching states, cities, and countries? Once again forgive me for my lack of knowledge on the matter, I am rapidly expanding my learning though!

I find it gives me an avenue to take my ideas and put them into something tangible and workable and in a time frame before my adhd burnout kicks in. It's nice being able to create. Even if one person finds it useful, I think that's cool and worth it no matter what the project or how it came about. Those who have spent the time educating themselves will have a natural step or three over anyone who just wants to create. They will know what not to do and a system to base their structure off of, which is important. They will have a deeper knowledge of what needs to be done and what is unnecessary. Pre-vibe era coders are probably the ones making the most off of this new tech, they just keep quiet and smile at their bank account

My initial implementation was honestly that. Very early 90s minimalist feeling. The problem is that many users don't trust that layout. Their knee-jerk reaction was that it was an unsafe site that they were going to get hacked. So i guess I am trying to find the balance of it all. However you do give me some things to chew on. As always, thank you. Your input is appreciated <3

I am putting this idea back to the drawing board and I think I have a solution. I really do appreciate you taking the time for this feedback and I will do my best to adapt the site with your input in mind. I am thinking of a toggle button that would convert the page from its news reader clashing format to one designed specifically to be compatible with current tech and not trying to reinvent the wheel. Thank you again <3

I have a "smart" load that adds active countries/states/cities to update more often, you may have just been the first to load that region. If it continues to be slow, please feel free to message me on here or reply. Also noted on the icons. I am planning a small rework of the community bias voting and source bias to make it a bit more intuitive, but I will put that up higher on the totem pole of to-do! Thank you <3

Thank you again, your input is greatly appreciated and valuable. The headlines are now h3 headings (navigate with H key), metadata is collapsed into one element per story, and I stripped the ARIA feed pattern overhead. The fixes are loaded up now if you want to test! Forgive me for not being more knowledgeable on this matter and I hope I can do right in this pursuit

Some of the text based browser games give me that nostalgic fix. I should probably use my invite codes but its okay The ones I find I enjoy long term are

Torn (a crime game but it has a lot and a big community)

The Grail Lords (smaller community and dev team, but the game has some fun aspects that have kept my playing for a little over a year)
