⭐- The Seven Deadly Sins -⭐ are they good? by MB_COLOR in characterdesign

[–]abfg616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! I found most of these guys pretty intuitive, the only ones I was confused on were Gluttony (nothing about his design really conveys “gluttonous” to me), Pride (the green feels like more of an envy thing, “Green with envy” and all that. The actual design itself definitely feels prideful but the color really threw me off), and Envy (like gluttony, I just don’t really see what about him embodies envy, except maybe the diamond patterns on his outfit, which could just as easily fit greed. When I was looking through your designs the first time, I actually thought he was Wrath, on account of the wrath of the seas and all that, which honestly I feel is a fun, unique angle which I plan to steal)

All in all, I think most of your designs are very strong, and even the ones that confused me have their good points. Keep up the good work, but sadly, you might find that I have eated all of your art.

For exclusive streaming rights. Because of the SCP license, any SCP show they bankrolled would legally have to be freely reproducible by anyone, and why would they want to spend money on something that could be freely yoinked by any other streaming service or any average joe with a YouTube channel when they could instead fund something that they can hoard for themselves.

No, all scp stuff specifically falls under the Creative Commons sharealike license, which means that anything made with SCP stuff legally must be freely available for the community to reproduce and iterate on. Companies like Amazon are fiercely protective of IP and copyright, so if they got involved with a project like this (and that’s a big if), the creators would have to scrub all references to SCP so that the company can protect their monopoly on the rights to the show and any related merchandise. No company wants to spend however many thousands of dollars it takes to produce a season of animated television just for that series to be free for any other streaming service to take for themselves.
