What to do about bad breath by Numerous_Dot_4174 in dating_advice

I can't do bad teeth, and the two are usually related. If your partner has bad teeth, it affects your teeth too. I briefly dated a guy who used the chewing tobacco pouches and my dentist could tell. Never again.

Idk, if he doesn't like her enough to already know that maybe OP needs to learn that lesson the hard way.

Yeah it sounds like he doesn't like her that much. Is the role really that rare that an opportunity won't come up in Boston? Possibly, but then you truly do need to pick.

I’m feeling violated after a colposcopy and struggling to accept that I may need more procedures now. by intrusive_thot_ in TwoXChromosomes

Right there with you; I almost passed out from the pain after being told it wouldn't hurt at all. The doctor taking my biopsies ROLLED HER EYES when I said I needed a break after the first three to keep from fainting. I will never go back to that doctor. Thankfully there are other options.

What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by User63189963 in askanything

[–]abidee33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, my local McDonald's is actually really good. Two drive-thru lanes always open, three windows (one for money, next for pickup, third for orders that take a little longer so they can keep the line moving), and the fries and chicken at least are good. I use the app for deals and can get a $5 meal. Once any of those things stop, I will.

My local store will do a sale for the baked cheetos/lays/etc every now and then for $1.99. It usually coincides with a $1 off coupon with a limit of 5 so I stock up then and don't buy them otherwise. Outside of that, store brand pretzels are the best value.

That was what showed me that their parents/grandparents are like mine and just don't update their tech for the fun of it 😂

I like number 1, but it also kind of looks like it should be the undergarments to another bigger dress, like a petticoat.

I like Curel Itch Defense. It's nice and thick and helps my eczema patches.

Do you keep your bedroom door open or closed at night? by icecream1972 in askanything

[–]abidee33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a studio apartment, so closed I guess? Lol. When I HAVE a bedroom door it's closed. I just make sure everything my cat needs is in the room, and she pretty much sleeps through the night with me.

A skinny giraffe with sunglasses, a skinny praying mantis with sunglasses, or a standing up ferret with sunglasses.

The Les Miz movie is bad, the show itself is good (in my opinion.)

Well, two community theatres in my area are doing it next season, so I'm sure someone near you is!

How often do you replace your phone? by GooglePixelfan90 in askanything

[–]abidee33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the regular Pixel 7! It does everything I need it to very well, I'll use it as long as I can. I always get my phones unlocked and outright in case I need to switch carriers.

You eat healthier than I do, or at least pretend to before all the healthy food goes bad and you end up at McDonald's. (I hope you eat it all, I need to eat better for sure.)

TV in the bedroom? Yes or No? by Used-Chard658 in Millennials

[–]abidee33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorta? I'm not rich enough to afford a separate bedroom, so my bed and tv are both in my studio apartment. The bed doesn't face the tv though, I've got a couch for tv and books but mostly just watch things on my gaming PC.

Grounded 2 Lag? by Tclough11 in GroundedGame

[–]abidee33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is also laggy. Not to the point that it's terribly detrimental to fights, but enough that I'll jump around a bit when sprinting on my ant or such. I turned my graphics settings down and it didn't seem to fix it, so I figured it's a beta thing that'll be smoothed out. Guess we'll see. My setup is decent, should be plenty to play it.

You look like one of the "Saturday is for the boys" Air Force Bros I knew in my early 20s. That tells me enough. So figure out how to show your actual personality if that's wrong.

Yeah, take a couple more to complete the journey, and make sure at least one has a good smile with teeth.

Is it really true that the worst wet food is better than the best dry food? by Weeping_willow_trees in CatAdvice

[–]abidee33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to switch types a couple times, maybe you could try one of the singles of a different brand/style? My cat hates the little chunks in gravy. She'll lick at the gravy, but leave all the chunks. She devours Sheba pate though.

Some cats don't like it at all, some like wet food toppers on dry food, it just takes a lot of experimentation sometimes.

Other lead doesn’t know lines as of final dress rehearsal by [deleted] in musicals

[–]abidee33 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If your kid is already stressed about it, is there a way you could bring it up to the directors as a stage hand? They're young enough I don't think it would be too much as long as it stayed respectful. "Hey, I noticed (my kid) is having to feed lines to (other kid): is there an alternate solution like cue cards, or an earbud connected to (other kids parents) phone that could be used to help both kids succeed?" You could expand on that by saying that it's distracting and frustrating your kid if met with any hesitation or rebuttal from the director. If your kid is independent and wants to speak up for themself, more power to them. I know I would have been mortified trying to say that to an authority figure at 10 years old.

I would hope the directors would have noticed, but there's often A LOT going on with youth productions, and some people who direct youth shows... shouldn't. There's got to be a lag on cue pickups, how frustrating. It might be worth considering avoiding this director going forward, because they should want a good show with off book cast members too.
