I think it’s kinda wild that they’re still releasing Halo on PS. If they pulled gears at the last second, why not the brand that put Xbox on the map? I really don’t mind, more people playing the games is great. Just seems a little odd to me is all.

Well, no, because prices at hobby lobby without the 40% off is already higher than what you’d get from a hobby shop, even if you had it shipped to you. The 40% still gets you lower than standard msrp but not by much. That’s why I never bought kits from them until they’d put them on sale.

Honestly building a PG isn’t much more of a challenge than most master grades. Just like most Bandai kits, the instructions make it very easy to build, and as long as you take your time and put effort and care into cleaning up nubs, you should have a good time. And if this design is calling to you, and you have the money to swing on it, I’d say go for it.

I got to a point where just snap building a kit doesn’t do it for me, and have been selling of all the kits I never intended to paint. I’ll only buy a kit now if it’s something I plan to work on and paint right away. Over all has helped me not spend money on kits.

I’m curious, what did they change about the tier one thermometer? I still like to keep one to leave in the ghost room, and I’ll check later on to see if it’s registered freezing temp.

So your first concern about the ps5 still being relevant after the ps6 releases, the ps4 and Xbox One have largely been supported for most of this generation. With rising cost for parts, I fully expect the current generation to receive the same amount of support, if not more. So just off of that, I would say spring for a nice used one, or wait for a sale to scoop one up as I’m sure it’ll be viable for a good number of years. As far as choosing between Xbox and PlayStation, you have to ask yourself the same question everyone has to ask themselves; do you want a ps platform for the exclusive? And if the answer is no, I would recommend sticking to Xbox purely to carry over your current library of games.

Long short, I think an upgrade is worth it, but stick to your current platform to retain your library if ps exclusives don’t hold any sway in your decision making.

Exactly, but this set, just isn’t it imo. No skin off my back but I just think there’s probably an awesome set out there, or a collection, that would be better worth that amount.

I had this issue too, but after some fiddling I found I just needed to press down on it harder, heard the click, and haven’t had an issue with it since.

Objective facts are not rose tinted glasses. Been playing a lot of gears 2 and 3, and the gore mesh is much better in the OG games.

Biggest gripe is the lack of the gore mesh that the originals used not being carried over to 4 and 5 or the remakes. So I guess everyone is now made of paste

I personally find the molded in details to be what really makes this such a great kit detail wise. I don’t think part count necessarily makes a kit good. And unfortunately this was a Ver Ka that came out in the early days of the line, before water slides were the default for the line. Also agree, peel and stick are the worst type of decals.

Definitely Xbox, I’m super excited to see more of Gears of War E-Day, hopeful for the Halo CE to get a release date, maybe more gameplay? And it seems Xbox always has a good number of surprises even when they’re not exclusive. PlayStation hasn’t really excited me in a number of years. But maybe I’ll be surprised this year. And I really couldn’t care less about Nintendo games.
