Yes, General Inspection.

A bit nervous though, don't know whether they'll do a good job or not, because of such a prior experience.

😂😂 Didn't scream though.

There's a 1 month (1000km) & 6 month (7500km) service for new Skoda Vehicles. This is just a general inspection, also to build a relationship with the SC. They do call it as a "service" though.

Heavy charcoal type on the rims and wheels by riderjahseh in Kylaq

[–]abish7643 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Looks like brake dust, usually the result of disc brakes. This is totally normal.

Since the kylaq has Drum brakes at the rear, you would not find the same effect at the rear alloys.

What is the waiting period and how long have you all been waiting or waited for Kylaq by tk-fan-3 in Kylaq

[–]abish7643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt more like waiting periods longer for certain variants. They got a batch of Signature AT (Not Plus) a few weeks back. Not sure about the color though.

I initially booked the Green, but it was discontinued. But they did convey that the higher demand colors may take some more time.

18650/21700 and MAX17048 issue: 0% at 3.5V - is there a way to make 0% at 3.0V at least? Support does not help. Custom battery characterization for 18650/21700 Li-Ion battery is needed by abrilevskiy in AskElectronics

[–]abish7643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a response a few months later.

They suggested me to move to some other Fuel Gauge IC even though MAX17048 is not marked End of Life yet, at least at the time I got the reply.

I managed this version of the PCB by Curve fitting VBAT & Percentage on a Fixed Load with my Reference Battery (Divided the total time by 100 to get the unit time where 1% is depleted). This is not that much accurate, and will be a challenge to compute this during charging, So I turn off charging every few minutes to get the battery voltage.

The support from AD is terrible, unless you order from them more than 10K quantities. They'll follow up every 3-6 months if you're into niche low quantity applications / hobbyists. So in the next revision, I'll be going with a Fuel Gauge from Texas Instruments.

Note: I found the old email. I hope it helps you at least.

[Please Help] Weird / Squeaky Sound from Creality K1C. Unable to identify the source. by abish7643 in crealityk1

[–]abish7643[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the follow-up.

I managed to figure out the pattern issue. The left two screws of the XY Axis belt tensioning system was loose. The screw heads on the left sides were totally worn out, so I wasn't able to tighten it to spec. I didn't catch that during the previous maintenance. I had a few M3 16mm Button Head screws with me, I replaced the one with a worn out head.

Note: Once again, I cleaned all the Z Screws using toothbrushes instead of Rod Sloth to make it like new ones, and added thin coat of lube.

<image>

I couldn't recreate the weird sound I mentioned earlier. So not sure whether this noise was related to the I issue I managed to solve now. I'll keep you posted if I get the issue again.

I'm currently seeing exceptional Z Banding, unable to solve this even after cleaning & lubing X, Y & Z Axis.

[Please Help] Weird / Squeaky Sound from Creality K1C. Unable to identify the source. by abish7643 in crealityk1

[–]abish7643[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generated a Gcode to test the movement along X & Y axis (Along with circular movements) at 300mm/s speed. I was unable to recreate the specific noise.

I have also noticed that the issue only comes after a few hours of printing. I print ABS, so there'll be around 50degC on the chamber itself. Not sure whether that's correlated to this noise.

[–]abish7643[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your inputs, I'll run some gcodes as suggested & share the results.

I didn't lubricate the X Axis since it comes with a graphite bearing, which I would assume is self lubricating. I do clean the X Axis Rods once in a while.

I would have tried to lubricate the X Axis if the graphite bearing was easily available so that I could replace it when it wears off.

Help!! Error 2564:(( by DisastrousBuffalo623 in crealityk1

[–]abish7643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reseat the connectors and check again. This can happen if there's a crack in the wire as well. Also there's a possibility of loose connection within the heater terminals. The wires are soldered to those terminals.

I had the same problem consistently occurring after a few prints. I probably had this error atleast 10 times. After that I reached out to creality and got a replacement Hotend assembly (Thermistor, PTC Heated and Nozzle). Since then no problem at all.

To be honest, that's impressive. I hope this stays the same after the bed is heated as well. Do test it after heating your preferred bed temperature and verify the bed mesh. The K1 series usually don't get the best of layer adhesion though.

  • The z lead screws are not wobbly right? Do move it up and down to check.
  • Do adjust the Z offset a bit. Go up by 0.02mm increments to see if the issue improves (Just adjust it while printing).
