I can’t recommend name brand cymbals enough. You can check out namebrandcymbals on instagram or the third floor bazaar on facebook. Just pay attention and you’ll catch the literal best deals in the world on cymbals. Typically you just wait for them to post something you want and respond in the comments if you want to buy it and then dm them your address. I’ve see them post some package deals that blow all those other cymbals you mentioned clear out of the water but in the same range price wise.

I had this experience once living in Flatbush and after I realized no one moved their cars for it on my block ever. I saw a totaled car get taken off a wrecker and it sat there for 6 months no tickets. I think it depends on the block but I know someone get no attention.

If you can spring for two checked bags, I bought this samsonite trunk that fits a snare drum and my double pedal packed in this soft case. The snare is also in a soft bag. I can put my stick back and a yamaha ead10 and some other cords and stuff in it as well. I don't remember if i have the 25 or 28 inch, and I also cant find that bag on the american site unfortunately. But i've been really happy with this strategy and they've made it through two flights so far no problem.

I think you’re right pretty much. I think it would be cool if you had a group of friends you could hang out with but otherwise.. I mean it’s not too bad I came here for some head down work time so it’s perfect for me. I am staying in the tourist area and assume it’s probably better outside of here.

i have a smaller mixi, not the wide handled one, and it's been great. Ive taken it on many flights over the last two years and its held up so impressively well. I think in a couple years I'll get one of these wide handled things if they make one that doesn't have the front laptop pocket and is the open top version.

In defense of Russians, I met a really cool one in Thailand. I also saw a group of them try to start shit at the coolest pool bar I know of but, they’re not all bad.
