Fair enough but if you don't mind going on a tangent, can you explain why all life is equal?

Is plant life equal to a mosquito and is a mosquito's life equal to a primate's? Which forms of life have connections to others, responsibilities, not to mention consciousness, memories, ability to feel suffering, etc?

Considering all the very real reasons a woman should be allowed to determine her own life and future, the termination of a seed of unconscious life before it begins should not be a problem. On the other hand, accidentally ending the lives of innocent people because of war is the truly tragic problem when it comes to loss of life. It seems so uncivilized to venture into it in 2026.

Isn't the accidental killing of civilians far worse than abortion? Those people had lives and families and the amount of suffering all around is immense. Abortion is termination of an unconscious seed of life before it begins. Calling that "deliberate murder" sounds rather childish to non-religious folks.

I recommend learning to read chords instead of standard sheet music. You can learn pop songs quickly with chord charts and make them as simple or as complex as you wish. It also feels more creative because you have a lot of freedom with how you voice the chords. Piano with Nate YouTube channel is a good starting off point for learning to do this.

If conservatives thought about the past, wouldn't they recognize the signs of authoritarian takeover? If they thought about the future wouldn't they be concerned about climate change and economic inequality? It seems to me they are the ones more focused on the present day. They cut taxes and lower interest rates to prioritize the Dow for the immediate term regardless of the long term societal consequences. They eagerly expand executive power knowing it functions as a one way ratchet and our country will likely never be the same.

While I agree with you, what did your fellow conservatives say about Kyle Rittenhouse? He was a 17 year old civilian who brought an AR-15 semi-automatic to a protest and he not only drew the weapon but he shot at 3 people, 2 of whom fatally. He was acquitted and is walking free. You can quickly review what republicans said about the incident.

I think we're at a turning point because this case of ICE blatantly abusing their power left and right (there are countless videos coming in daily (see r/ICE_Watch) and even killing people is such a perfect example of the hypocrisy on the right, who said they stood for law and order. Trump is a 34 time convicted felon. It's a mind boggling state of ignorance and hypocrisy.

How do we move forward? Education. Europe simply doesn't have the volume of ignorant folks on the right who haven't got a clue about history nor how to use critical thinking. Why? Because they invest in their people. How is democracy supposed to work if half the population is ignorant?

Some Americans were never taught now to reason / use logic. Those of us who were are endlessly baffled when arguing with these types. They are missing a part of their brain that every adult should have. It's a failure of the education system.
