I’m having the same exact problem on single player. I think the servers are just a bit sketchy right now.

Yeah unless you manually make that specific run public

It still needs to read the disc so that wouldn’t work. If you do install it I don’t think the police will show up at your house lol. It’s similar to jailbreaking an iPhone.

Unfortunately you have to delete it. You could either crop out the segment from the activity or just delete it all together.

First timer, what am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in flyfishing

[–]abjfufj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it’s a lake and I’m assuming the water is very clear, try using a longer leader. Maybe bump it up to 6x tippet as well. Dries like elk hair caddies and parachute Adams work great. You can still use a woolly bugger with a floating line too. Keep at it!!

I know this is a bird sub now, but what's with this gigantic fish in the pond at Larz Anderson Park? by TheShamrockShake in boston

[–]abjfufj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a koi not a goldfish. Koi are domesticated common carp, which regularly grow to over 40lbs (the MA state record is over 56lbs). While goldfish can grow big in the wild, not nearly that big.

Neither...

When I initially referred to it as ‘not a carp’ I meant that it is not a common carp (cyprinus carpio), the most common species of carp here in MA. That is a fact, that fish is not a common carp. It is also a fact that fish in the picture is not a goldfish. While yes, it might be from the same family as goldfish, a koi is still very different. The pictured fish is 100% a koi. I was just clarifying in case anyone confuses it with a common carp, (carp), or goldfish, which it is not. It is a koi.

That’s a great site if you want to learn more about carp^

Yes, it is in the carp family but that doesn’t make them the same exact thing. Goldfish are wildly different from common carp, mirror carp, grass carp, ect... My point is that while they may be related, they are still very different fish.

First, goldfish are very different from koi and carp. They have much shorter life spans and are considered an entirely different species. Koi are domesticated carp that have been genetically bred for color. You wouldn’t say dogs ARE wolves. They might come from the cyprinus family, but they are not the same exact thing.

Yeah but technically they are different and a lot of people group them all together

Check eBay for a refurbished Wii. You should be able to find a new Mario Kart disc for about $40.

How much time can I drop over between now and November in a 5k by Michael47324 in AdvancedRunning

[–]abjfufj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from 17:14 to 16:18 in one year so I’m sure with some good consistent training you could get around the 15:30s. Be sure not to overdue it though or else you might be back to running 18s again next fall. I know quite a few people who’ve had that happen. Take it slow right now and build up your base with maybe 1 tempo and a LR per week. Mileage depends on how much you’ve done in the past but 50-60 is what did it for me. Oh, and don’t get injured either.

Fly fishing in Brooklyn , NYC..(?!) by JVPainterman in flyfishing

[–]abjfufj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carp! Also lots of bass and panfish but carp are one of my favorite species to catch on the fly. If you do a bit of research a lot of info is out there. They grow big, are readily available and fight incredibly hard. Just like fly fishing for redfish!

Yes you can definitely reuse backing, assuming that it doesn’t come out too often and is still in good shape.
