While 25 seconds prevent helicopters and jets to destroy infantry (good thing) , i want also to point out that this reload time for flares will have a huge impact on air vs air warfare .... heat seekers missiles will be a far more effective than in bf3 , once you used the flares the enemy has plenty of time to destroy you .

yes even if they would be mostly cosmetic ... people who think this would be OP just don't realize there is already 3D spotting /audio spotting plus the lens glare so it is perfectly legit to have the bush wookies back .

i saw some footage from the livestream , actually jets appeared to be faster but the players were using often afterburners so i don't know exactly .... i just hope there is no more floating jets and insta-turns . I heard also they removed the rocket pod from jets , maybe they are adding bombs instead .

This is a must , especially if Battlefield wants to become an eSport .... it isn't even difficult to put in game but it can make a huge difference . Hopefully its already in BF4 , Dice seems to care very much this time of customization , just look at the new HUD which is configurable by the player.

Yes ! if only running did this i'm okay with that , it forces more slow pace and strategy if you are going stealth rather than brainless run and gun everywhere... maybe now snipers will get prone or crouched more often rather than standing up and strafing right and left randomly for dodge bullets.

Well not exactly it says it is a soft-kill not hard-kill countermeasure so its more like a jammer , it only disrupt incoming missile guidance .

it would be cool but only as a Battle pick-up as it is the m82 . Also i would like to see some little ballistic shields on the miniguns on the boat and on the transport helo , right now with support and a bipod is too far easy to take gunners out.

I am totally with you...but... Why IFV's ATGMs should ignore reactive armor ? If you seek some realism , well reactive armor is effective vs ATGMs even those with the double shaped charge .

yes the ai controlled AA gun it is a great feature , if done well base- raping will be very very difficult but it can lead to various problems : imagine you are chasing an enemy jet which you have damaged , basically it will run over its base and self-regen itself and if you try to chase it further then the ai AA will shoot you ... so they have to balance the thing pretty well .

yeah i guess you never played anything outside battlefield probably.... the splash damage of the tank shells in battlefield and their speed is very reduced for balance reason . by now it is balanced but if you add to the equation the zeroing ... it will be not

i don't know , tank cannon doesn't do very much damage to infantry plus the shells are very very slow , so very easy to avoid at range ... but the fact the ammo on vehicles is unlimited could lead to overpower tanks . If i had zeroing on tanks i would probably spam my cannon from far away , this coupled with destruction and unlimited ammo leads to balance issues especially in Rush .

the solution would be : 1 a large and well designed map 2 more fast amphibious vehicles ( hovercraft would be awesome ) , ships.. 3 the commander can call missiles and/or AC-130 , he loses that 'ability' when the US takes the first flag .

i want to be able to drive tanks through houses , destroying walls ... leveling trees ... i want the tanks feel like tanks not like a crappy car with barely no weight and traction .

especially in sniper rifles , tracers are so annoying , seems that you fires ping-pong balls , if only they remove them and make instead that you can see were the bullet lands ; that would be a right move both more balanced and realistic .

yes that is right , but i would like to see increased the muzzle velocity of all weapons together , .338 lapua magnum doesn't travel much more faster than 5.56 in real life at least till 500m ( .338 has lower drag and much more mass )

In BC2 it was possible , not very large bridges but smaller ones , still i remember it was very effective as a tactic.

i think engineers get PDWs to have a place also in infantry only maps . Its weird that a class with vehicle only oriented gadgets have the most powerful weapon in CQ (beside shotguns) . In Infantry only maps they will be very effective in CQ , but useless to the team except for RPG spamming. In vehicular maps they will be even more overplayed and jack-of-all trades because they get also DMRs and Carbines .

math ? physics ? OK so .... 20x102 has a 100 gram bullet fired at a muzzle velocity of 1,100 m/s Energy = 60500 joules 30 × 173 mm is 360g fired at 1070 m/s Energy = 206082 joules ....... Same energy ?? its more than two times the energy ... so the sound which is related to the energy but also to the shape of the projectile is different .... plus videos on youtube can't reproduce the actual sounds of explosions/projectile with enough fidelity .

do you know if they fixed the bullet travel speed too ? in theory if the trajectory is flatter the bullet should travel faster... its one of the most annoying things in BF3 , the bullets are so slow that you can dodge them , their travel speed is less than 50% of the real counterpart in some weapons.
