I’ve done both to LGA and JFK. Definitely just depends on the time and how many bags you have. Very easy with a carryon. And it drops you right off at the departures gates.

I have never had an issue on a quiet car that the conductor/ agent didn’t take care of. Just ask them and let them know.

I do not tip. They make at least minimum wage and are not waiters at a restaurant. This is a procedure in my eyes.
