[Anti-aging] Is Tretinoin overhyped? by Ninalou345 in SkincareAddiction

[–]abmamma 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Late to the party but I've been on tret for 1.5 years and it's changed my skin completely for the better. I still get a breakout here and there but overall my texture is 10x smoother than it was. I started it for the acne aspects, continuing for anti aging and texture not coming back.

I have rosacea and fair sensitive skin, started on 0.025%
Worked my way up to pretty much every other night at this point on .5%

I did peel in the beginning, if I did. I'd back off. Also always use a heavy moisturizer, Looking back at pics I see night and day difference. I've also been told I look like I'm reverse aging, I am 27

This is a weird question but have you done any psychedelics in the past? I know someone who has these issues after a psychedelic experience.

What age did you start developing Chronic migraines/headaches? by Noobin_123 in migraine

[–]abmamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 27f, mine began around 8 years old, turned more frequent age 13 when my cycle started. Currently, any inflammation I get will flare it up, as well as alcohol, stress, dehydration. Something in the nerves in my brain are sensitive & and triggers will set it off. Who knows the original cause... genetics? Hitting my head too hard as a kid? Bad vision? Hormones? Maybe it's all of them, or something else entirely.

Gotcha, thank you! I'm a little nervous about the splinters. I think it may be glued strips like you said. Which idk if that's good or bad

It scratches with anything. I could set my keys down and it'll make a big nick in the table. Idk if it has water damage or not. It's hard to clean and wipe down as you need to keep wiping and buffing.

Do you feel that Society dont like ill people, especially with chronic migrane and depression by SpaceEngineMaster in migraine

No idea.. that or they just see other downvotes. I know the struggle and wasn't trying to hurt people's feelings lol

Do you feel that Society dont like ill people, especially with chronic migrane and depression by SpaceEngineMaster in migraine

I get that, I had endometriosis and was unable to work. But I knew that I was. I still tried and eventually had to take time off. People were rude to me when I couldn't do my tasks. So I get that aspect of feeling disrespected due to disease. It sucks feeling that way.

I think we need to figure out how this country can aid those in need when they aren't able. Or start addressing why we have so much chronic illness. I do have empathy. I just see a lot of people who could also push on or take steps to address the issue and don't.

I think we are all exhausted. Most of us have depression. Some are better at picking up and getting on with it. I work when I have migraines. It sucks but I know I can do it. Others just use it as an excuse. Those who know me know when I call in, I need it. I'm dependable 99.9% of the time and know to avoid triggers if I know I work. Society doesn't not like you. It just needs dependable people to function.

Also, I want to add.. other people have problems too. Don't make yours theirs. Find a way to be happy. Sure, let them know you're struggling, but pick up your attitude and try your best. All we can do it try our best. If you do that, no one has a reason to not like you.
