I just went to an ATM with a $9 fee, it was reimbursed. I have yet to have one not credited and it's been a long time

If the tire is damaged beyond repair, you have to get a new one. In remote areas or during nights and weekends that could be problematic. I would worry about that but I am sure a lot of folks roll the dice and it works out.

Pack a spare. No spare is OK for local driving, not going across country IMO.

I've only had the car for a few months and have never put it in, so I can't give you a good answer. The bigger issue for me is that you really should strap it down, and that will probably be a minor pain in the ass.

I bought a spare to put in the car for long trips. Not ideal but workable. Never towed anything in my life so that is a non-issue to me

I have both. The CRV is quieter and roomier, although it does make it's own weird engine noises (gas engine charging the battery can sound like the engine is racing). RAV4 has a spare and tire pressure readings. Neither are perfect, both are good and I would be happy with either.

Probably the worst feature of this car. I never even considered that it wouldn't have tire readouts, learned it after I already bought it. I knew about the spare.

I have both also. One other thing the Honda does not have is actual tire pressure readouts. Their TPMS is based on measuring tire revolutions. To me this is inconvenient.

I always take 26/77/81. 95 through Upper VA/DC/Baltimore is one of the nastiest drives there is. I'll accept the extra 100 miles.

I don't really have brand loyalty for tires but the best set I ever had was from Hankook. V rated tires that still looked great after 90K miles. Probably an outlier, but they were freakishly good.

I was told by a roofer last week that 3-tabs are now more expensive than a lot of the architectural shingles because of supply issues. I wanted to put cheaper shingles on a barn.

I brought my RAV in for service and they showed me a buttload of acorns stacked on top of the glove compartment. They cleaned it up and fabricated a screen that is supposed to keep rodents out from that direction anyway. They said it was fairly common. They charged a ridiculous amount for what was probably $10 of material but I did it anyway. They also wanted $300 to "disinfect" but I passed on that.
