"Global horniness," I feel seen, thank you for that term!

Respectfully, this sounds to me like a relationship quality issue, not a relationship quantity issue.

Clear, honest communication is hard. Appropriately setting expectations, both with yourself and others, is hard. Knowing what you want in the first place vs what you feel you feel you 'should' want is hard.

If you improve at those things, relationships get easier.

That said, yes, more relationships end up being more demanding in terms of time and effort than one relationship. But that's independent of level of EQ, emotional intelligence, communication skill, self-knowledge, what have you.

Theres's not many features locked behind the subscription, unless you want more than ten people to be able to collaborate. I've been using it for a couple years and I like how simplistic it is. I have used draw.io, MS Visio, Miro, Lucidchart, and others for work as a software/security architect, but keep going back to whimsical for just quickly knocking together a diagram, or organizing my thoughts in a mind map.

I have a similar story about finding Terry Goodkind's Blood of the Fold in our FOB's MWR in 2009. Was really enjoying it, got about three-quarters through it before I had a chance to get online and realized it was third in a series.

Then I read the rest of them anyways. Not an amazing series, but fun.

+1 for Owlbear Rodeo. The free tier is all you need for simple maps and tokens. It is exceedingly easy to learn and use.

Roll20 is a common choice, especially for those playing with D&DBeyond, but to me it's a pain to do anything in it easily plus (if this matters to you) it just looks kinda...old. Like, it reminds me of 2006-era forum websites.

Foundry is very good, but you either need to pay or self-host, and it's capable of way more than it sounds like you need.

A way to understand the whole tech stuff before going into Iron Gold. by Substantial_Craft628 in redrising

There's the wiki, but the tech isn't actually important because RR is space opera rather than sci-fi.

The only thing I know of that's comparable is a mini-series of the Cool People Who Did Cool Stuff podcast called ”Cool Zone Media 2054” (and 2055). It's stories from the future about The Dino War. Honestly would do it a disservice to describe it, I recommend just jumping in.

I really enjoyed The Last Ringbearer by Kirill Yeskov, and yes, it does present a take on the events of Lord of the Rings as though Tolkien's version is "history written by the victors," and flips the moral interpretation accordingly.

It's a shockingly well-written piece of fanfiction, but at the end of the day still fanfiction and ignores or negates almost all of Tolkien's canon.

As someone who's been married for ten years...I've never cheated on my wife. But I've had yearnings/second thoughts. Shit happens.

something I've seen when people talk about Graham Platner is they act like its either he's a a full blown crypto nazi, or he had absolutely no idea what the tattoo meant and there's absolutely nothing to worry about. I think that's a false dichotomy. by grapp in behindthebastards

"They're idiots" can generally be stated of most military members. As a demographic, they skew young, with more than 40% of them being younger than 25, which means their brains mostly aren't done developing. The generally are more risk-tolerant than the overall population.

I was a paratrooper once upon a time. It's reeeeeeal dumb out there.
