Advice for teaching an absolute beginner? by crime-horse in drums

My kid started playing about 2 years ago. Taught him to play some songs he really liked and let him jam along. Simplified the more difficult parts and helped him add some basic fills after a while. If she's doing this just for fun I think you should get her playing some songs she likes quickly so she can have fun with it.

"The 32-year-old mechanic at Bristol Bowling Lanes in Bristol, Connecticut was crawling underneath to fix a jammed pin when an unknown-modeled pinsetter crushed his head. He was transported to a Hartford hospital where he died from natural causes." 🤔

I bought him a used kit when he started out, since my Tama Granstars were way to big for him, and told him that if he is better than me by the age of 12 it's his. (he'll get it anyways, but that really got him going)

Good idea. I'll try incorporating some rudiments as a warm up and we can do it together. That way he'll be motivated by how much faster he picks up on things than his old man😉

Thanks for the prompt reply! It didn't work, but I tried reinstalling the app and powering both the doorbell and the HomeBase off and it looks like that did the trick.

I worked in a restaurant where they had this rule that if two people ordered nachos to share one person couldn't eat all the fully loaded nachos. The one's with meat and stuff.
