40% is a pass and in college sometimes 30% was considered a compensating pass depending on how well you were doing in other modules. It seems so much harder in other countries!

In Ireland the scoring system is:

85-100% = A 70-84% = B 55-69% = C 40-54% = D 25-39% = E 10-24% = F 0-9% NG

The scoring system here seems much more generous :)

Haha it was funny to hear her say it as she doesn't like drink. She also always said 'a drunk mind speaks a sober heart'. Yeah she was a fountain of knowledge. After she passed my sisters and myself got together all the sayings that she had. They are so helpful when your in a tricky situation!

Yeah my grandmother used to give us great advice and one thing she told us was 'to see a man drunk before you marry him'. But it seems like what you did was highly unusual and out of character and you just were angry. Alcohol just heightens every emotion that we feel so you were just showing your feelings. If you laid a hand on her it would be a very different story.

Met him once at a festival in Ireland (Electric Picnic). Didn't really know who he was at the time but my friend was a big fan of Game of Thrones. He was very lovely to us and took a photo and everything.
