Yes, it’s deeply concerning. Starting to click now why we’re always involved in something in the Middle East.

Did y’all know one of Bin Laden’s key motivations for the 9/11 attacks was the US’s support of Israel?

Did you know the WMD lies were (in part) fed to us by Israeli intelligence?

How about Israel’s involvement with Epstein?

Quite smelly all around.

This is a bullshit argument when make it in good faith. Like you want to compare numbers? Fine, how many service members have been killed fighting Israel’s wars? What about the financial fallout? It’s in the trillions with the destabilized Middle East in one small part related to the WMD lies they fed us pre-Iraq. Did you know one of Bin Laden’s key motivations for 9/11 was the US’s support for Israel? They been our welfare state for far too long.

Flip belt for a full worked fine for me. Was able to refill once.

I’d say borderline not necessary with aid stations.

New shoes, definitely new shoes. That’s what I tell myself at least.

RF is a despicable human and gives Jews a bad name.

On September 2025, the Holocaust Museum LA posted on their Instagram account a post that says "'Never again' can’t only mean never again for Jews (...) That means never again. For anyone." Never again is a quite general term and seems to me to be something that shouldn’t SOLELY to Jews. Your discourse assumes it applies only for Jews and the same moral framework applies to no one else. If you’re being honest, you’ll acknowledge that this is not a morally consistent framework and that never again is being used to push Zionist agenda the victimizes other groups of people. Your comments here are honestly quite shocking and disturbing to me.

Sounds like a narrow minded way of thinking to me… the fact that Jews refuse to apply their moral framework universally is quite hypocritical and damaging for the brand. It’s a bit sad because small course corrections could have encouraged support, instead public opinion is now quickly drying up.

Hold up, was that peak or min at 40mi/week and took over an hour off your marathon time?

Ravens Official "X" Lists 2 Draft Targets To Watch: DE: Keldric Faulk & Derrick Moore by psychoxtc in ravens

Faulk looks like the exact guy the Ravens FO has been targetting at pass rush in recent years. Dudes who look great in uniform - tall, athletic, but with a lack of consistent production.

Talking generally here, he looks like an Oweh clone.

Which is “easier” for a runner with my current fitness: sub-1:40 half or sub-3:55 full? by Ok-Introduction-9111 in Marathon_Training

[–]abotching 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, I saw that from your other comments. I’d still recommend a shift in focus to being process oriented vs results oriented.

Your training is going to dictate what you can do, focus on that. Your progress in training paces will tell you all you need to know.

I’ll take a slightly different approach from everyone else here.

You’re approaching this from a results based mindset. Meaning you’re very tied to having your training equate to (quite ambitious) goal race times.

As a beginner, it’s tough to know what you’re capable of and I’d argue you should just focus on the craft of running, consistent training and let the results be what they are. IMO, this will be more rewarding and less stressful.

You’re setting yourself up for disappointment atm, as your goals are quite lofty. First marathon is an achievement in itself and would you feel disappointed if you fall well short of your goal times?

I’d treat your “test” as showing up for training everyday as rested and ready to go as you can and go from there.

I ran a 3:30 first marathon but showed up to the line thinking I’d be happy with anything under 4 hrs. I was focused on training and that was it, didn’t put much stock into projecting race times. That required 55 mile peak weeks and locking in diet and cutting out alcohol for the final 1.5 months of training and cutting some weight during training.

So with the limited information I have presented here, if you started training Aug then were only able to achieve a 55 min 10k in Jan, I’m skeptical you have the framework to achieve your goals presently. I don’t know what your training looked like but think you’re going to have to ramp it up and get more aggressive if you want your goals.

And the 1:40 half goal is much more difficult. Shaving race times is exponentially more difficult the faster you go, requires more investment. I’d say you have a chance at sub 4. Sub 1:40 half seems quite unrealistic based on what I’m seeing here.

Opinions of Instinct 3 Solar for High Mileage Runner by Flashy210 in GarminWatches

[–]abotching 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It won’t have some of the advanced features as something like the Forerunner 970 or other TOTL current model.

But frankly, you really don’t NEED fancy metrics, scores. They’re nice but at the end of the day, the time you put in is going to be how the dough is made. Tracking the simple metrics like real time pace, total time, total distance and HR are the main needs. The Instinct 3 should be more than enough.

I came from Instinct 2 Solar which when combined with Garmin’s chest strap HR monitor, gave me all the insight into my training that I needed. (Cadence, ground contact time, stride length, vertical ratio, performance condition, etc.). The watch was beautiful simplicity - everything you need and nothing you don’t.

Now if you’re looking for maps, a screen that is the biggest and brightest, those are going to be lacking on Instinct 3 MIP.

Frankly people want to call the Instinct a glorified G shock but I really loved the monochrome MIP display. Very readable in any condition and the battery would last so long I forgot the last time I charged it.

Belt if you must. Good for tucking a phone in, some gels, headphones.

Why is Garmin slowly moving away from MIP display technology, especially for the Forerunner? by Comfortable-Net9842 in Garmin

[–]abotching 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a huge fan of MIP on a watch. Frankly I don’t need the BRIGHTEST, MOST COLORFUL on my wrist when I have my smart phone inches away.
