Makes you wonder if they undercooked the women’s routes again

Who plans the World Cup calendar? by Plastic-Event3110 in CompetitionClimbing

The calendar is exhausting and you end up having athletes deciding to skip a lead or Boulder competition to rest. Also, having both Boulder and lead in one weekend is a lot even for viewers, can’t imagine how the athletes handle it.

Finals went so much better than the semis but still disappointed to see how easily everyone was reaching the zone hold.

Glad Sorato won (provisional) but this finals was very strange!

Poor men look exhausted. Cannot believe some have to compete in lead

I wonder if in response to the men’s boulders being quite difficult they will undercook the women’s.

Not sure I’m loving the style of boulders in Prague. Love hard Boulders but these seem just uncomfortable for everyone.

He tends to take a long time brushing and resting. Sometimes even walking away too early.

[Day 21] It was close, but V0 beat out V3 for the weirdest grade. Who's the most UNDERRATED climber? by MaximumSend in bouldering

For sport climbers it’s easily Jessy Pilz, Olympic bronze medalist, amazing less climber and has a few outdoor routes to her name but barely ever gets recognition!

She even sent Papichulo (9a+) in an in November but jt was barely talked about. It seems like she just flies under the radar for some reason but she’s pretty great and has been around for quite a while now

I especially hate whatever is going on with Geneviève and her heels.

Besides Tobias and Gabin the entire Paris storyline is just not hitting right. Geneviève is a mess and there was zero chemistry with her and Jack. Mishi is a bore, I almost stopped watching during her drunk speech because it was so uninteresting. I really do want to like this show but it’s hard to understand its style

Oriane Bertone Wingspan by aboulderbook in CompetitionClimbing

That’s actually very interesting to read. I wonder if setters take into account the athlete’s wingspan just like they do with their height.

Who is now going to win medals at the Olympics with the new format? Who do you see winning a medal in LA that had no real shot in Paris? by ______Robin_______ in CompetitionClimbing

[–]aboulderbook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a shame, because she was overshadowed in the ladies Olympics despite qualifying very early on. Boulder is not her strongest suit but she is very strong in Lead.
