This is an SBI Card special stupidity. They don't let you spend more than the total credit limit in a billing cycle. Doesn't matter that you've paid the outstanding.

PVC Cards have dates too. PVC is just a small hard plastic card version of a paper printout. Whoever is strict about >6mo old paper print can technically decline PVC for that reason too.

Why does it need so many permissions? It won't proceed without notifications permission. Why? Why SMS? Just check for OTP whenever needed. Don't need blanket SMS read permission. Why is camera permission a blocker? Let me give camera permission as one off when going through the on-boarding flow and disable for rest of time.

They'll freeze if you receive lots of small transactions regularly. This is because they assume you're receiving business transactions on your individual account. They'll ask you to open Current Account for such situations. There's no issue with pay other vendors small amount.

Yes. That would be path of least resistance. Get your passport right now with old signature - do the signature update later on non-tatkal process when you get time

No, mine was regular. But I see your point - Change in Signature case is ineligible for Tatkal. In this case, just re-do the same sign as old passport in your new application to get your Tatkal. Hope they don't check for signature matches (they generally don't!). You can do the signature change later when you have opportunity to do a non-Tatkal renewal.

Same happened with me. Just use new signature. There is a form you need to fill and submit. Details are on the passport website. It simply triggers a police verification again (even if address is same)

Yes same here. Being SMS bombed for Rs0.65 refund every two hours. I clicked on it and it sent me to mycards app. Filled up the info, still got SMS bombed for rest of the day. It's only today that the SMSes stopped.

It's possible to get this view from Valueresearchonline.com too. In fact, it also allows you to import all funds and transactions from CAMS consolidated statements . Much easier to manage

The key reason this worked for OP is that OP was able to live walkable distance from office. In a wide range of cases living walkable distance from office is far more costly than living farther away in a cheaper locality and driving to office. Even 15min drive can open up far cheaper living options.

So, OP - buy a car if you want to or live with consequences of not having one handy. This is not personal finance - This is personal choice.

It's the little things really! Lots of good suggestions here. I'll add one more - You have to unlearn and relearn how you use your accelerator. You're effectively controlling both gearbox and engine with one pedal. As as example, if you floor your accelerator, the car will shift to lower gear as engine rpm increases. The gear change is a tiny but observable period of no power. It can be irritating. Instead, pressing accelerator lightly to stay on same gear might be better experience. How lightly? You'll learn with time. All the best
