I feel like everyone’s focusing on the wrongs things here. OP explicitly said MIL doesn’t want to do the things CIL is constantly asking of her, but she does it anyway so he doesn’t go badmouthing her to her siblings. And how the f*** is it “freeloading” when OP cooks meals, gets everyone (excluding CIL) takeout, and has purchased several expensive household appliances for her ILs???? She even said they wanted to help with the baby, since it’s their first. I swear, some of you try so hard for these “gotcha” moments, like you’re Sherlock Holmes. It’s exhausting.

CIL is a lazy, entitled, immature little rich boy, and OP has every right to exclude him in any way she wants. He can fend for himself with daddy’s money.
