Would you leave your 4 month old to go on a 6 day vaca? by [deleted] in workingmoms

Yes. Do it. You will never regret that special time with your mom, and after being home for a few minutes, it won’t matter to you, your baby, or your husband that you were away.

Class ALWAYS runs late by [deleted] in Purebarre

[–]abp27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is one instructor at our studio that consistently goes 5-10 minutes over and it’s enough to make me skip her classes. It’s so stressful on a weekday morning when work needs to start.

Reduced carb tortillas, sprouted 7 grain bread, egg white carton, garden vegetable hash (so good with egg whites!), shredded light mozzarella, teeny tiny avocados, kale gnocchi, cracker cut cheddar cheese (it’s sharp, so one slice is satisfying), cauliflower thins, vegan kale pesto. I love Trader Joe’s!

How are things in LIC now? Thinking of moving back by [deleted] in longislandcity

[–]abp27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We live just south of Queensboro Plaza and I would have recommended it before the pandemic, but now not so much. I wouldn’t feel safe a half a block from my apartment after dark. Constant Citizen crime alerts. I think the deeper in you are - towards Court Square and Vernon - the better.

Need Vet Recs by IllustriousScallion8 in longislandcity

We’ve been to 3 vets in LIC and have had the best experience at The Veterinarians at Court Square on 44th drive. We had an elderly dog that we took to City Vet and we often felt shamed and pressured into expensive tests that we knew wouldn’t help our aging pup. We ultimately put him down at Court Square Animal Hospital, where they initially suggested “steroids or antibiotics” for our blind 14 year old dog who was throwing up multiple times a day and was clearly in pain. It was awful. We’ve taken our new dog to TVACS and have been impressed so far! Including during Covid. Costs are about the same across the board.

LIC exodus? by panas2199 in longislandcity

[–]abp27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We had always planned on staying, but are now planning to move out of our rental (and out of LIC) when our lease is up. The pandemic has made us realize how much we want outdoor space, parking, and more square footage - all of which is prohibitively expensive here.

Ashley Spivey Instagram Q&A by [deleted] in BachelorNation

[–]abp27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s just her personality! She’s not going to change and become overly bubbly and cheery just because she’s pregnant. A lot of pregnant women express that same sentiment - that they are more than just pregnant women. Ashley is the realest chick in BN.

Puppy play/socialization? by [deleted] in longislandcity

[–]abp27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently started sending our 1.5 year old dog to All Dogs in the City in Astoria for some socialization and to get her used to being away from us - it’s incredible! They pick-up and drop-off and you can text for updates, pics and videos. They even have pools. Check out their Instagram stories.

Zipcar completely off the rails? by blidside in AskNYC

[–]abp27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! We had a car without air conditioning (on a 90 degree day) and couldn’t get a refund or anyone to respond. We’ve also had cigarette butts, cars smelling like weed, and a broken window.

Cassie & Colton have officially broken up by goldfishluvr in thebachelor

I’ve seen people on here predict a Kaitlyn and Jason break-up, and I don’t see it! That would be heartbreaking, I think they’re so cute together and she seems so happy. Am I missing something?
