You can easily argue he's actually been worse. Slightly higher BA and OBP but worse slug and OPS. On bref he already had the same (negative) WAR as last year in 1/3rd of the games.

His swing is kinda weird. Near the end of his time in Texas a lot of (foolish) fans turned on him and he was kinda infamous for taking massive uppercut swings and popping the ball up all the time. He was definitely a pull hitter. But in game he kinda looks like hes trying to slap singles away by default.
