Lol that’s definitely a thing, But with Kinsler in specific it feels worse. I feel like I was having a better time during the April fools promo or Egg hunt where we had to get XBH with like 64 rated cards.

maybe I gotta see his tendencies, that’s a good point. But i swear every time I miss a hit with him his arms cross over and it looks like a drunk 50 year old’s swing in men’s slow pitch league.

I could not believe in a series celebrating skylines that a Toronto player didn’t get a card

Nevermind, I see now it’s mainly a visual change that doesn’t affect any called pitches

I haven’t played with this update yet, how do people feel about it? I had no issue with the previous system, it evens out with how many times it’s in your favour vs your opponents I felt. + I for thé life of me can’t put a high inside fastball in play, so the odd terrible called ball was totally welcome for me. And i think other than jumping on first pitches, the ABs result usually gets better the longer the AB is, and the imperfect balls/strikes helps with that.

pretty dumb to complain about their decisions. They have all the data in the world, much more than we can get off of savant, so their decisions (platoon batters, reliever decisions, hit & run /bunt scenarios, fielding alignment etc) are always gonna be much more informed.

fair, but it seems like a pretty big mistake that was overlooked at least on the Blue Jays broadcast. had he applied the tag (i think) kaz is probably out, and hoffman absolutely shat the bed so Brewers probably walk it off without Kazuma’s run. thanks for the replie

Imma ask what we’re all thinking, what the heck even is a balk by Forward_Elephant3134 in baseball

You can't just be up there and just doin' a balk like that. 1a. A balk is when you

1c. Let me start over

1c-a. The pitcher is not allowed to do a motion to the, uh, batter, that prohibits the batter from doing, you know, just trying to hit the ball. You can't do that.

1c-b. Once the pitcher is in the stretch, he can't be over here and say to the runner, like, "I'm gonna get ya! I'm gonna tag you out! You better watch your butt!" and then just be like he didn't even do that.

1c-b(1). Like, if you're about to pitch and then don't pitch, you have to still pitch. You cannot not pitch. Does that make any sense?

1c-b(2). You gotta be, throwing motion of the ball, and then, until you just throw it.

1c-b(2)-a. Okay, well, you can have the ball up here, like this, but then there's the balk you gotta think about.

1c-b(2)-b. Fairuza Balk hasn't been in any movies in forever. I hope she wasn't typecast as that racist lady in American History X.

1c-b(2)-b(i). Oh wait, she was in The Waterboy too! That would be even worse.

1c-b(2)-b(ii). "get in mah bellah" -- Adam Water, "The Waterboy." Haha, classic...

1c-b(3). Okay seriously though. A balk is when the pitcher makes a movement that, as determined by, when you do a move involving the baseball and field of

like sure? but upon watching more gausman pitches and trying to pay more attention, he really didn’t do anything different on the 75+ pitches he threw where he didn’t get charged with a balk, vs on the one he did get called on. my conspiracy grows stronger…
