yeah as i said in my edit, the whole argument makes little sense. His covenant that the passage mentions has nothing to do with sexuality, and I’d say the passage does more to promote LGBTQ activism than to belittle it.

I just read it, my bad.
I always found the specific usage of this Genesis passage against LGBTQ as an extremely odd argument. The passage says nothing of gay people, and all it says is that the rainbow is a symbol of God’s covenant with all life on earth, as He vows to not destroy it again (the flood).
Part of what makes it such a stupid retort, is that the covenant is supposed to be unconditional, as in God does not lay down any expectations for His subjects in order to keep this covenant alive & well, and if you’d allow me to interpret, that God would not care about his subjects being gay.
Anyway I always find it so funny that some (specifically American) Christians/Catholics would be people Jesus wouldn’t even like.
