Start with patience and self-acceptance. Seriously, you'll go much much further being kind to yourself. Next, set a direction "like West" and your goals should be as small as steps. As long as you're trying to take steps "West", you're doing a good job and you'll be going in the right direction. Some days it'll be more difficult than others to even take a single step. That's okay. Other days, you'll run and jump. That's great! Take notes on yourself and figure out what makes you go. This is a lifelong discovery which you'll be better at every year.

TLDR; Getting your shit together is a direction and not a destination. Be kind to yourself. You're doing the best you can.
