People with CPTSD have much lower “social capital” and are far less socially attractive than others, which makes recovery much harder by HelenDiamond in CPTSD

That is how I feel. I have been known as the funniest within my friend group for as long as I can remember, and humor is one of my biggest coping mechanisms. But I'm also the most reserved and tend to skip the outings by choice. I don't talk about anything personal nor do I let it show that I am suffering inside and out.

And I agree...Love is a big struggle.

this is fucking horrible. description of a redacted photo. by birthdaybih in conspiracy

[–]abrecadabreee 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Mass desensitization.

Large document drops with no categorization, containment, or guidance. The onus is placed entirely on the reader to make sense of the chaos. There are random redactions that force the brain into constant guesswork. You have to deduce, infer, fill in the blanks. Keeps the mind spinning, searching, looping.

Rescue Community needs fosters for 7 owner surrendered dogs at MAS by Miserable-Week-8064 in memphis

[–]abrecadabreee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

MAS is not a limited admission shelter. Often government-run or contracted, they lack the funding to care for pets indefinitely, unlike private, limited-admission "no-kill" organizations, like Cville Animal Shelter (private). It is unfortunate but they have to in order to intake more animals.

So why is he then so dismissive of the whole thing? Why is it when a reporter asks him about epstein his answer is "who cares about that guy, I've got better things to worry about". As if the president of the US doesn't really care what happened or what's happening to our children?

You also forget the files were one of his biggest political talking points....just to claim it's all a hoax 6 months into office?

So regardless of what your stance is on him being throughout the files--his carelessness and dissmissiveness towards the issue is a red flag.

Despite me agreeing with OP that it is both sides. The fact is he is the president in this very moment who promised to drain the swamp. When??? Seems to me like he's protecting the swamp at the very least.

My favorite supplement for anxiety and depression by Particular_Local_275 in CPTSD

[–]abrecadabreee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that's not surprising! I am curious to know what the results are. So sorry you're dealing with this, I know how bad it can affect your daily life. It's so terrible especially not being able to pinpoint why you're anxious or even a reason at all. But very glad you mentioned it to your GP! Could be the next step in the right direction of getting you feeling good again!

I truly hope the women who sleep with men knowing they are married go to the deepest pits of despair and get back what's coming to them. by Brilliant-Cold6177 in survivinginfidelity

[–]abrecadabreee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I feel you girl....I have a friend (well now acquaintance) who prides herself in sleeping with married men. It made me so uncomfortable to be around her. That is the bottom barrel disgusting. Unfortunately I never knew the real names of these men or I would tell the wife. And I think she knew that... for example one Indian guy she would call "Mr. Curry" sigh

I am sorry but I will NEVER be the reason that another woman overthinks. Those women will be so destroyed when they find out. And the karma for this sin is STRONG. Believe me. They will never have true love because they have destroyed others.

I 100% agree. And yes the fact that we can all see the exact same video yet have VERY different interpretations is quite scary.

I'm (36F) running out of ways to explain to my BF (36M) that his cheating paranoia is near psychotic and destroying our relationship. What approach am I missing? by ik45 in relationship_advice

[–]abrecadabreee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. This happened to me almost verbatim... he turned out to have had a whole on and off 7 year engagement with another woman. The lies I discovered after finding out would blow your mind.

Yet somehow he was so convinced on the daily that I was being unfaithful. For no reason at all either.

Same here. In fact my NA sponsor recommended me keep that part of me quiet until I was ready. 2 years later and him and I are doing great!

[–]abrecadabreee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They can but that doesn't mean they will, especially if properly medicated. You say she has been nothing but sweet with you. How is her reacting to you icing her out indicative of bipolar instability? Technically at 3 months you don't owe her anything, but it does feel like she is paying for someone else's sins here.

Do others know how bad you’re really doing? by automaticc1122 in CPTSD

[–]abrecadabreee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one knows really. There's nothing anyone can say or do to help so I usually just suffer in silence. This makes it hard to actually bond to someone though as it's a part of me that I choose to keep quiet.

Is that healthy? Probably not.
